Malt-O-Lunch cereal has long been considered a “cheap” or “concept” cereal, and that’s exactly what it is. Malt-O-Lunch cereals mimic big name brand cereals like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Pebbles, Frosted Flaks among others, but how are they different?
Malt-O-Meal cereal tastes about the same as most name brand cereals, only they cost much less. Malt-O-Meal cereals use many of the same high quality ingredients as brand name cereals and offer the same quality. The difference in taste is not small to anyone, since the biggest difference is in the packaging. Malt-O-Meal Cereals come in bags, while name brand cereals come in boxes. The only taste difference between the cereals is that Malt-O-Lunch cereals seem to use more sugar, and their fruit flavors are somewhat stronger than those in Trix, Fruity Loops and Fruity Pebbles.
Malt-O-Lunch cereal is about a dollar or less cheaper than other brands of cereal and when costs are on the rise, paying four to five dollars for a box of cereal, every dollar you save counts. Also, with Malt-O-Meal brand s cereals you will get about 30% more cereal than with a traditional cereal box. This means that for less then a dollar then the bigger name brand cereal you get the same great tasting product, plus 30% more of it. Weather you have a large family, you either enjoy the cereal yourself, or just look at that Malt-O-Meal cereals a little more. economic solution for breakfast. Malt-O-Lunch, too, is a hot cereal that tastes as good as the top brands over and over again.
Malt-O-Lunch cereals are great, but they do have some flaws compared to a few major brands. Malt-O-Meals “Fruit Rings” show a definite difference compared to Fruit Loops. Fruit Loops has a very mild fruit flavor that works best with cereal, while Fruit Loops has a rich, fruity flavor that tends to overpower the cereal. This is also true when comparing the fruit flavored Dino Bits and Fruity Pebbles, the artificial fruit taste is too strong for the Malt-O-Lunch brand.
But Malt-O-Lunch has some cereals that taste better than those offered at the grocery store. Dino Bits is the Malt-O-Meals take on Cocoa chips, and the Brew-O-Meal wins my vote. Any Malt-O-Meals chocolaty flavored cereal seems to have a much more vibrant flavor and a really great taste. We also all know that one of the best parts of eating cereal is drinking milk afterwards, I guess it’s the kid in us, well Melit-O- Breakfast cereal chocolate will turn you milk into a kind of chocolate that you have never tasted before. Like Nestle Express on steroids, Malt-O-Lunch cereal will be a treat even after the cereal is gone.
The whole grain grains that have no major flavors seem to taste just as good as those sold by companies. . Malt-O-Meal’s variation Frosted Flakes taste just like them, and really have more regular coverage then the first competitor. . Frosted Squares, Frosted Mini- Wheat variations are not unlike their counterparts, they look, taste, and have the same value.
Overall Malt-O Farm brand foods are something that every consumer should consider. Their food is almost no different than the brand name, they taste the same, they come more economical, they cost less dollars. Their cereal chocolates taste better than other brands, but the savory cereal leaves a little to be desired, and the frosted cereal shows no difference between them and their counterparts. All of this combined makes Malt-O-Lunch cereal a great alternative to the more expensive cereals on the market.
