Is there anything she can’t do? Former prosecutor, television personality, author and now executive producer. Around Superwoman Marcia Clark continues her successful career: What’s next, a gig on American Idol?
With the 1995 Trial of the Century under her belt, which resulted in a ridiculous not guilty verdict, Marcia Clark left the prosecution and found success as a television commentator and legal analyst, appearing on various programs.
Now primarily an author, he also has a popular profile on Facebook and Twitter, being active on both.
Yesterday, July 23, Clark made this announcement on Facebook: GREAT NEWS! TNT has optioned my Rachel Knight series for a TV series as a one-hour drama! Executive and producer/showrunner Dee Johnson is writing the pilot and Nelson McCormick will direct and produce.
In email communication with yours truly, Marcia confirmed to me, “We are developing a one-hour drama series based on the series Rachel Knight.
Marcia explained to me, “We’re now at the stage of writing the pilot, which means the pilot is writing the pilot. It should be done in a month or so. Then TNT will decide whether to send the pilot.”
That non-fiction book about O.J. The trial Without a doubt was a seller. He followed it with high praise fiction Vultu Societati and then >Guilts by degrees, all manners of Rachel Knight, who is – you guessed it – the accuser. Marcia has confirmed to me that her next book, “The Ambition of a Killer” will be out next summer.
Publisher’s Weekly, Suspense Magazine and a host of others – including fellow author James Patterson – were pouring in Marcia’s praise. books
Little wrote, “The sequel to his brilliantly erudite debut, Guilt Society (2010), proves that former prosecutor Clark is no surprise book.”
Moreover, they add;
“Clark has a winning cast of characters, a strong plot, and a lot of smart and sassy dialogue (especially when the soldier and his BFFs gather for martinis after work), and it increases the interest in the knights of the following species, such as establishing Bayer’s psychopathic nemesis.
After reading Gultis Society, I would like to agree with their praise. As an avid reader of mystery/suspense books, I added this to my list of authors. I stumbled upon that book by accident. I was looking forward to Mary Higgins Clark’s book – happy accident.
Marcia’s Rachel Knight character is a strong and intelligent woman with a good sense of humor, but she doesn’t rely on her looks to get her through life, as most female characters do.
One thing I really appreciated about his book – compared to this one – was the lack of a steamy six-scene scene. I’m so tired of books and movies where we need to inject emotion when the story is lacking.
With Marcia’s Facebook and Twitter persona, she is very friendly and open with her fans; He discusses his books, recent events, and even television programs. With fans chatting about what he likes to watch on TV, here’s a post from his FB page:
“I lost it, damn it and I love Glenn Close, so I’m thinking of finding the show on DVD and watching all the seasons continuously. I did that with The Wire (I thought it was a trick; but a friend of mine watched the pilot and I’m addicted) and it’s so much fun I’ve watched it now ?Mad Men – LOVE, Game of Thrones – !!!, Dunton Abbey – seriously, how can anyone not love?, Modern Family – so damn funny, and I’m hard to please when it comes to half an hour of shows, Episodes – it’s on Showtime, stars Matt LeBlanc (remember Friends?) is fantastic, and you won’t believe it, Pretty Little Liars on ABC Genre – admission : my BFF’s on the show, but I’m really lost on the murder mystery. I guess that’s enough, LOL?
Not too many high profile people bother to interact so personally with their fans, but I love her, her fans love her and I think I count Marcia as my new BFF! (Best friend forever.)
In another Facebook post, Marcia also opined about the recent Colorado shooting spree:
“Check this out: Aurora Shooter – I won’t use her name – applied to join a gun club on June 25th… and turned the gun club. Why? Because when an employee called her number to verify her application; the email message sounded so amazing, him” “suspicious” they thought. Irony who?
His fans weighed in, and Marcia also wrote in the pistol packin:
“…I have a yoke of guns myself, so I’m not all guns. My complaint is specifically with assault rifles that have no legitimate place among civilians. Large capacity magazines and easy modifications that allow them to be fully automatic is nothing more than an efficient delivery system sent to kill I am all ears.
A wonderful thing. This is the comment type that established her as a bold television personality and led her to success. his books.
We won’t see Marcia do one thing. “I’m pretty sure that Rachel won’t let me play. Trust me on this, you’ll be happy about it.”
Well, Marcia, someone else should have that job!
