Starbucks coffee shops have become cultural icons in America. Not just a coffee shop, Starbucks has become a hangout for the hip young and hipper crowd. With the great aromas of exotic coffee lingering in the air and playing all the favorite styles, it’s no wonder Starbucks is so enormously popular. With so many places to gather and so much ambience around why would a customer leave? Economy! People leave one of their cool time to hang out to save goat or two or more. Challenging ourselves, we decided to check it out. It’s a McDonald’s VS Starbucks coffee review. Could the industry titan Starbucks stand up to the challenger? Can McDonald’s shed its loving image to shed the needs of coffee lovers?
Our journey began at the local McDonald’s. We were surprised to find that the changes on the map were so varied. In addition to just coffee, they offered lattes, cappuccinos and many flavored coffees. Brewed or frozen coffee is listed. For our research purposes, we decided to try a cup of Classic Coast coffee. It was a simple roast brown coffee. King’s McDonald’s offered two sizes, regular and large. You’re not uptown here. It comes in a meaty new container that McCafe says is part of it. We were offered milk and sugar. We lay down to cool our cups. Not horrible but you’ve smelled a nice but have you ever hated a bad cup?
After a few sips I knew these were good. My friend agreed. It was a classic medium roast with a dark color that tasted fresh and good. There was a slight shine to the cup showing that the coffee was really freshly roasted and probably freshly ground. It had a good body and was not bitter at all. Best of all it was only 99cents. I loved There was no cushion to sit hip, and no music played, but the coffee was really good.
The next day we headed to a neighborhood Starbucks. I was the only customer in the first place. I wondered to myself if everyone else was like that at McDonald’s. The room smelled inviting, the smell of brewed coffee filled the air. I chose a cup of house blend to be fair in VS McDonald’s Starbucks coffee review. Just like my friend did. Of course, it is a challenge to organize a large or large wind. After paying close to $3 a piece for our coffee we sneaked into the cold booth to drink our coffee. It was great. Gentle, not bitter. It was a great eye opener. We enjoyed the Java, but we couldn’t talk about it because we were drinking $3 for 99 cents.
While I tried the taste and flavor of both coffees, I chose McDonald’s Classic Roast as the winner. So did my friend. Why? For two reasons. Was the number one taste comparable and for the price? It was kind of a no brainer. They definitely missed the cold bed and the shops. They didn’t play great tunes overhead, but we walked out of the big 100 with a few dollars in our pockets.
