The class of classic civilian toys has to be wooden! Do you not agree? Actually, I can’t think of a better classic toy for kids than wooden blocks and so I bought a set from Melissa and Doug. Melissa and Doug toys seem to be everywhere these days, and they’ve made a name for themselves among toy clubs selling toys. But what’s good about Melissa and Doug Wooden Toy Blocks and what’s bad?
What’s good about Melissa & Doug Toy Wooden Block
Now it’s possible that when you’re little everything seems big to you until you get big, but I’m almost certain that the wooden blocks you had as a toddler were a little bigger than the wooden toy blocks from Melissa & Doug. However, I find that Melissa & Doug Toy Wooden Blocks are useful. My toddler has an easier time understanding them and therefore uses them, I know, than if they were older.
They are also much lighter in weight, which is likely due to how the wood is harvested these days compared to the stock and old wood when I was a totler back then. We bought a set with a light Melissa & Doug featured a cotton bag that has a nifty Velcro strap to close that is sewn into it. Both the lightweight bag and the lightweight blocks make it easy for our toddler to return the blocks to the bag, close the bag, and then store the blocks in the bag.
Each of the six parts block two opposite sides of a different color, alternate between either green and red or blue and yellow; a total of four colors per order of 50 blocks. For sure, using these four basic colors helps toddlers in color identification. In addition, Melissa and Doug say that the wooden block is covered with a non-toxic coating.
On either side, each block has either a letter, a number, or a simple picture, such as a dog or a cat. Doing it again helps toddlers with letter, number and object recognition.
The aforementioned are just a few of the good things about Melissa and Doug Toy Wooden Blocks.
What’s Bad About Melissa & Doug Toy Wooden Block
With all the negative reports about Chinese-made products in the past couple of years, especially related to products for toddlers and children, I can’t help but wonder how sure it is that the United States of America can become such a non-existent feature. toxic substances used in Melissa and Doug Wooden Toy Blocks, while Melissa & Doug Toy Blocks are made of wood in China.
My wife made a good point a few weeks ago: Why didn’t she circle the edges of the block when she walked into them, both Adults and children makes the experience somewhat painful. My half hearted answer, because I was trying to agree with what he said, was that maybe the edges on the wooden toy logs were still hard edges, because they wouldn’t be so piled up if the edges were round.
Those are the only two things I can see that are bad or what could be better about the Melissa and Doug Wooden Toy Block.
