Microsoft announced on Wednesday that a $60 Web-based version of the company’s Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 software will be available only to college students. The cheapest Microsoft-office suite is Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 which costs $149 and only contains standard MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote applications. Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 Edition has a retail price of about $679 and includes programs such as: Access 2007, Accounting Express 2007, Excel 2007 , InfoPath 2007, Groove 2007, OneNote 2007, Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager, PowerPoint 2007, Publisher 2007, and Word 2007.
