A great way to greet your mother on Mother’s Day is with a warm breakfast, but to make it even better – include chocolate. We know all moms love chocolate! Use this recipe to make her Mother’s Day a great one!
M&M; Cupcakes for Mother’s Day
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
pinch of salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 stick (1/2 cup) of melted butter
2/3 cup milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3/4 bag of small baking M&M;’sDirections:
Preheat the oven to 400* and place 12 muffin liners in your muffin tin. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients (flour, sugars, salt, and baking powder) and stir to combine. In a separate bowl combine the butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. Create a well in the dry bowl, and pour the wet ingredients into it. Stir until mixed. Stir in the M&M;’s and pour by the spoonful into the muffin liners.
Bake at 400* for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Remove the muffin tin and let cool on a rack for 5 minutes. Remove from the tin and let it cool before handling.
Serve the muffin on a pretty plate with a butter knife and a small amount of butter on the side. Put the plate on a tray with milk or orange juice, a flower, and a Mother’s Day card and start your mom’s day off right. She will certainly love you for it!
