My Favorite Natural Home Remedies for Acne: Aloe Vera and Honey

Finding something strong yet gentle enough for my skin that worked to cure my acne certainly didn’t happen overnight. I’ve spent twenty-one years living with big embarrassing zits, a lot of unpleasant irritation, and unsightly red acne bumps and scarring that would just not go away. I’ve tried some of the most popular brands of face wash out there including Clean & Clear, Oxy and Oxy pads, Proactiv, Neutrogena, and even Cetaphyl but all to no avail. It wasn’t until I began doing some intense research on the web that I realized natural remedies were what many people were turning towards in their search to cure their adult acne. Here is the skincare regime I follow every day.

Aloe Vera

When you take into consideration the miraculous healing powers of aloe vera with its known abilities to reduce the pain and swelling of very bad sunburns, it is not very surprising that it can be used as a skin purifier to counteract or neutralize acne. Let me share with you my daily routine involving this wonderful gel. In the morning, I squeeze out a considerable amount in my clean hand and apply it all over my face. Then, I do it a second time in the afternoon and finally, at night when the skin works harder to repair itself. Also, the overall irritation of my face calmed down quite a bit through the ongoing use of this product. it goes without saying that the calming and soothing properties of aloe vera exceeded my expectations as they gradually erased all of my blemishes.

Honey

Washing your face with honey or using a honey mask every day can keep uncontrollable acne at bay. The substance of honey contains anti-bacterial elements that helps with cleansing. Additionally, it is very gentle on even the most sensitive of skin types. One very appealing aspect of using honey on your face for skincare is that while it cleans, it also moisturizes. Therefore, honey is a cleanser, a moisturizer, and an acne-eliminator all at one and the same time.

When I get into the shower, I gently rub some honey on my face for just a little while and then splash it off with cool water. I do this once a day and have noticed my acne going away little by little. Honey will work wonders for your skin if you give it a chance.

Cool Water

Before I add anything to my face, I always make sure to splash my face a few times with cool water. Although many people believe that the proper way of washing your face is with hot or warm water, I have found the opposite to be true. As soon as I started washing my face with cool water, my acne went away. Maybe washing with cool water isn’t the proper way for them, but I have found it to be the proper way for me.

Keep in mind that whenever you start this routine, it is important to be patient. Give it a few days and you’ll be seeing clear skin surfacing like you never thought possible.
