My List of Top 5 Crossover Vehicles

I’ve always wondered what’s so special about crossover vehicles. I decided to review crossover vehicles at my local dealership and 5 of them caught my eye. My top favorites were the 2011 Nissan Juke, 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT, Mazda CX-9, Audi Q5, and Acura RDX.

2011 Nissan Juke

This crossover is meant to take the place of Nissan’s NX. If you don’t remember, Nissan’s NX is from the 90’s and was a major attraction. For this Nissan Juke to shine gold. New body articulation and wider-based tires allow for better handling and smoother transitions while driving. The tires have also been turned to the front of the car for better handling in 4-wheel drive, increasing this sporty crossover’s ability to climb higher hills with less effort. As far as safety is concerned, the larger tires and overall body style of this new crossover allow for a better structure in the event of an accident. To top it off, this hatchback is not only great for carrying kids or other family members, it’s more gas efficient. With a 4 cylinder engine you get 32 highway MPG and all the technological advances of our time. This car is definitely on my top my character list love at first sight and price, well depending on how technological your life is it runs between $19,000 and $25,000.

2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT

This crossover is a beautiful reflection that should be seen across. Compared to this Mitsubishi Lancer, this car has definitely got more style and appeal. This car is quite a bit more expensive than the Nissan Juke, but it has added appeal. The base price for the Mitsubishi Outlander GT is $30,000. Even a little harder on the gas than the V-6 engine, but the power behind this cross is amazing. This crossover offers a third seat (although it doesn’t allow much leg room). All Wheel Drive have a big impact on the ability of this car to move since there will not be much else and the weight of this vehicle will facilitate the transition allows for snow on the roads.

The overall crash test rating of this vehicle was high. With the comfort, style and safety of this crossover, I put it in my top 5.

Mazda CX9

I think the Mazda CX9 doesn’t have the pretty exterior that the Mitsubishi Outlander or the Nissan Juke has, but don’t let that fool you. The Mazda CX9 has the luxurious interior we all expect. The comfort and power of this vehicle are cleverly transformed into a family car. This cross is not as fuel-efficient-cars”>fuel efficient as I would like, but the power of The V.6 engine and the added leg room for your passengers definitely makes a difference.

The technology of this crossover is impeccable. Sensing windshield wipers keep hands on the wheel, as do Bluetooth hands-free phone systems. This allows you to travel more safely with family and friends while still being allowed to use your phone. Add to that, this car has built-in sensors to prevent accidents and monitors blind spots better than any other vehicle on the road today. In terms of safety, this car is definitely my #1, with full airbags that protect from the side, front and back, providing maximum protection for your children. Priced as low as $29,000 new, this is my favorite crossover of all time.

Listen to the Q5

A vehicle of this beauty is certainly included in the price, the Audi Q5 ranging between $35,000 and $42,000 new this crossover definitely has perks. It’s not a large family with its 5-carriage capacity, but it offers great handling. Wide mountain tires allow for better curve hugging ability and stability. This vehicle is also equipped with LED headlights that everyone hates. These are awesome bright head lights that can dazzle people coming towards you even when it’s foggy. These lights also swivel for a better view of your surroundings.

As for safety, this vehicle also offers blind spot detection through a small light that pops on your side mirror. As for higher control, this vehicle uses an Anti-Lock Brake system to adjust traction in snow and rain to avoid hydroplaning. It can also be equipped with a rear camera for added safety, of course at an additional cost.

This car is in my top 5 for performance and safety, but not in my top 3 for the price.

Acura RDX

The Acura RDX is an amazingly gorgeous crossover vehicle. It’s a little more expensive than I expected, but it’s well worth the asking price. Starting at around $33,000 this luxury/turbo/family car was definitely on my top list of cars to drive at least once.

The front wheels rotate as far as the front of the vehicle as possible to allow for the safest possible maneuverability in the car. All-wheel drive allows for traction that can’t be beat. The standard comes with a rearview camera and LED headlights, plenty of storage, automatic climate control and side airbags. Acura also allows many options that most car manufacturers do not, of course at an additional cost. It also comes standard with remote keyless entry systems to help make your life easier on these snowy days.

If I ever needed to buy a new car, here it was sitting in my driveway.
