I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about Japanese hunting videos posted on YouTube that grabs my funny mouth and tickles me to death. A few of the game shows are very cruel, but all of them are hilarious. The Japanese game show was first discovered when my husband introduced me to the TV program Extreme Elimination Challenge in which contestants run through an obstacle course, which is clearly a take-off of video games like Super Mario Bros. Contestants are both male and female, as there are notable body restrictions of size, shape or gender. There should be a rule in the game show contract that requires them to come dressed in costumes, because most of the players wear them in the show. The narrators are also dressed in clothes that are far less dignified. As soon as I saw that YouTube had Japanese games shows in their database I was ecstatic. I’m including in my list of top 10 favorite Japanese game shows clipping several different game shows, some of them are like Extreme Elimination Challenge, while others are far more deviant.
1. It’s clear from the fact that Japanese people find it hysterical to beat the snot out of each other, because in this video they don’t just get beat up, they laugh about it and come back for more. I promise you these will not sit for a month on Sunday. Watch out for what happens when school-age adults try not to laugh while one person tries to speak English. There is no dangerous or gruesome violence in this YouTube-videos”>video, so I will not tell you. I see the rods, and the children … errant?
2. My Which you can find on YouTube. Would you go to a game show if you knew someone was going to throw you out of your chair and into the snow, naked on the back? Well these Japanese people did and it’s positively hilarious. No full nudity is shown in these clips, but they are indeed naked. Watch the video.
3. For the Ultimate Elimination Challenge as this YouTube video goes all out. The obstacles that the contestants run through are huge and someone always ends up in the water. I’m reminded of Mario Nintendo games when I watch these clips; The only thing missing is the theme of the song. It goes through my head every time I see these. Watch the video.
4. Wouldn’t you rather watch them beat each other? Ask and receive, said the wise man. In this YouTube video, two Japanese men are playing what looks like a rock, scissors, paper and being hit with someone’s head. like paper wrapped like a fan. It is done at a very rapid pace, and both have to put on their helmets, if they can do it, before they join their heads. One guy finally loses and goes to trucks on the opponent. Watch the video.
5. Japanese sports shows are crazy. They went over the edge, literally, in this YouTube video when the grandmother answers the question incorrectly. His grandson is mounted on a rocket and then bungeed on the edge of what appears to be a small mountain as punishment for his mistake. Watch the video.
6. The guys in this movie are gone. From what I can tell the contestants of this game show are supposed to perform in time to the music using facial expressions and body gestures. They must do a good job because people are sitting around watching and applauding at the end. Wat
7. Another example is foreign clothing, whips and card players. I’m not well versed in Italian culture, so I assume these are ordinary everyday things in Japan. In this game show, there are several people who have their pictures in an inflated ball. One rolls the ball and that always lands on the fan’s punch card. Watch as more than one person is upset but still continues to play. Watch the video.
8. This YouTube movie gives a whole new medium for working out the term. This is considered a group of young kids who are expected to do as much work as they can. I don’t know what the monkey and the dog are in this video but they sure steal the show. Watch the video.
9. Takeshi’s castle is like a deep elimination challenge. For the armies of the two guys, they are the same. This is one of my favorite episodes of Takeshi’s camp because the fighting caps are the worst I’ve ever seen. I like the comments given by Kenny Blankenship and Vic Romano. Watch the video.
10. Last but not least, here you can see for yourself how funny the Deep Elimination Challenge game really is. If you happen to be addicted, never fear the abundance of these videos posted on YouTube, use the Extreme Elimination Challenge to find the search term. Watch the video.
