Mariah Carey came into the world on March 27, 1970. She was the product of an interracial marriage between Patricia Hickey, a white opera singer, and Alfred Carey, an African American/Venezuelan aeronautical officer, at a time when such relationships were generally not well received. Carey was publicly mentioned in his early years as putting away his affections, and no doubt the feeling that he did not belong to the party that he is now formed.
Mariah Carey has come a long way since she was a poor girl growing up in New York, and she holds the title for more #1’s than any other female artist. Although she suffered a public breakdown after the release of her movie, Glitter, which failed at the box office, Mariah fell. he proved that he was not quick to throw in the towel as a fighter. I’ll admit that I’m a bigger fan of the classic Mariana (before the wreck), but no matter how much she’s out now, she’ll always rest at the top of the charts without question.
If I were to really think about it, I would say my Mariah Top 10 are:
1. Someday
Growing up I was not a very attractive or popular child. I was about thirteen years old when this song came out, and it happened like this. I will finish it for myself. Thirteen is a tender age and this song helped me through. It gave me confidence when times were bad, and I could say “You know what, you’ll want me one day, and I’ll smile in your face.” On another note, this most memorable song contains the legendary features of Maria Maria, and was the first song that featured it straight, all by itself, not mixed into other vocals.
2. Thus the Blessed
Just one of the most beautiful songs Mariah ever performed. It reminds me of something about simple melodies from the fifties. The lyrics are beautiful and Mariah does a great job of letting the words do the work not singing loudly. It has an innocent quality that alone sets it apart from other songs.
3. O sacred feast
Mariah released a great Christmas album in 1994 and although it included many wonderful songs, this is one that stuck out and gave me chills. I’ve heard this song sung in many different ways, by a wide variety of artists, but Mariah put emotion into this song like no other. At the end, you try to breathe, it is so powerful.
4. Vision of Love
The song that started it all. They can’t be Mariah’s favorite songs without her debut album. This is the song that introduced us to a very beautiful singer with a smoky voice and an incomparable range.
5. Everyone needs a friend
The remix is better than the album version, but both show more of Mariah’s soul. The songs where Mariah uses the full force of her voice, without dropping the top notes, are some of the best.
6. Always Be My Baby
If there were any songs to show Mariah’s ability as a singer-songwriter, it might just be this one. A pretty basic pop song, the version on the album was done very simply, and a “cute” little video to go with it. It was just cute and sweet. Then Mariah brought in Da Brat and Xscape to put a little hip flavor in there and mix it up. bit This shows his versatility, but what really inspired me was that David Cook was able to sing his own songs and in a very different way, that he kind of punched out every genre and showed that under, hey, he’s really good. put the lyrics there.
7. If it’s over
Mariah performed this live on MTV Unplugged and put a depth of emotion into it that many artists lack when performing live. Lyres, voices, and music all come together to make this one of the most soulful modern sea songs.
8. Beautiful
Mariah Sisqo performed and covered Prince’s version on her Butterfly cd. He made a good choice by choosing a singer who sounded like the original, and he made this song a solo duet, and it sounded much better.
9. Affection
There is nothing particularly profound about this poem. It’s just one of those dumb pop songs that gets stuck in your head and makes you smile. Mariah shows her ability to hit those notes in this one, and the live version on Unplugged is one of her best performances.
10. He will not let go
Order Mariah This singer fell in love with the world. He can take the simplest words, mix them beautifully, and just sing his heart out in your rapture. I miss that girl.
