My Visit to Munnar in the Kerala State, India

Munnar is a very peaceful place. It’s a small thing but you will never forget this place and would like to visit again and again. They reached Kochin (Ernakulam) and from their tourist bus reached Munnar. This place comes under Kerala State. Munnar is the highest in South India. The weather here is very cool and very suitable for a tourist to have a peaceful vacation. Munnar has beautiful mountains, lakes, waterfalls, Tea & amp; Coffee estates, herbal plantations, forests and most importantly, heaven on earth. This is a popular hill station. It is a tea producing area and you would see a tea plantation forming anywhere the moment you land in Munnar. Tata Tea Company are major players here.

There are many hotels and holiday resorts available for the tourist. The rates are small in the upper part. In South-Indian the food here is very popular, but you also have a selection of other foods. the hotel or resort where you are staying here offers you a variety of meals to suit your taste. All the major sightseeing spots are within a radius of 7 to 35 km from Munnar. You can hire a car and see these places at leisure.

Rajamala is a very beautiful place. The place is well above 1,000 Mts at sea level. Here you have a rare species of mountain goats. Eravikulam is a National Park here. Please up the timings. It is restricted in summer. is a very beautiful park surrounded by mountains. Regions 3 and the tourist are only allowed to enter the region that is located at the city. You also get trekking facilities here. It is a paradise for trekkers.

Annayirangal is a place where you can see miles of tea plantation. Circumstances are all cheerful except for the blue sky. Dam is close to this place. Take a seat here and just enjoy nature at its best. Green tea plantation, blue sky and cool breeze, what more can a tourist ask for?

Devikulam is also beautiful. You feel very fresh here in this hill station. They are generous green just beautiful. Sita Devi lake with its clean and clear water is a sight to behold. This lake is famous for fishing. It’s a very beautiful place and certainly challenging camera skills.

The waterfall house is on the way to Perriyar Deer Sanctuary. This scene is spot on. It is worth spending some time watching this waterfall. Feel the cool breeze and the sound of the water.

Mattupetty Lake & Dam places are not to be missed. This is an ideal picnic spot. You get boating facility here. The sprawling Kundala Tea Plantation and Kundala Lake are other attractions near this place. A special dairy farm is close to this area. Visitors are allowed in a limited area. Please the timings.

Pothamedu is another place to see tea, coffee and papaya farms. The place is surrounded by mountains. The place is perfect for a pleasant walk through the mountains. This place also attracts trekkers. It is a very beautiful place and rich in scene. Don’t miss this place.

Attukal is very nice. The waterfalls and green hills are out of this world. A challenging place for photographic skills. Surrounded by greenery and cool atmosphere is what you want. This is how your eyes treat it. It is also an ideal place for long treks.

Nyayamakkad is a place on the way to Rajamala. Here is a waterfall that is very beautiful. water falling from a great height is a delightful scene. Take a break here for trekking.

Marayoor is a place famous for Sandalwood trees. Sandalwood factories are run by the forest department. Munnar to Marayoor road itself is a treat for your eyes. You can see everything here through rocky hills, rivers, cave temples, waterfalls and bamboo forests. There is a children’s park that is worth seeing. A very interesting place not to be missed.

Munnar is also famous for its Spice Farms. You can buy these here. Cloves, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Pepper, Cinnamon, Ginger, Garlic, Turmeric, which are produced here. Tea & Coffee is another primary fruit.

There are still many places that are very good in and around Munnar. Once you take a taxi and start looking, you will encounter so many things. Your camera would be full of cake that is fun to look at when you get back home. I decided to visit Munnar again. And you.
