NaNoWriMo stands for National New Writing. It is an annual event that takes place every November. Writers push themselves to write without editing, at the rate of 50,000 words in thirty days. The point is to simply write in COLAPHIZO to get the ideas out, and then go back and redo everything once the words have stopped flowing. Or in this case, every day starting on December 1st. The NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program is for those under the age of seventeen.
Start as a young writer
Young people who want to participate in NaNoWriMo still need to set up an account, just like adult writers. Create a username and password. Share a picture, if you like, and some of the things you’d like to write about. Set your word count goal for the month. Kids, ages seventeen and under, who sign up via the NaNoWriMo Young Writers program site can choose their own word count project. Those over thirteen can choose to sign up through the regular NaNoWriMo website, but then they are required to fulfill the 50,000 word requirement.
He will start writing on November 1, either on the computer or with pen and paper. Track the number of words and regularly post updates to the website. You can even pick it out if you’re inclined.

The winners at the end of the month are those who have reached their word count goal. No other awards for “Best Work” or anything like that. Educators can facilitate the NaNoWriMo Young Writers experience by incorporating it into lesson plans and encouraging students to keep it again. lesson plans provide step-by-step instructions to teach children the steps they need to write their essays. Educators can order a new kit at school to help students keep track of the school. Teachers can also create a virtual classroom to help monitor the progress of young writers.
Information submitted when creating an online educator account is kept private. Your exact school address is never shared. All submissions are only kept online for long enough to identify the word count, and are then permanently deleted. All submissions remain the property of the author.
