NASCAR Race Shop Review: Penske Racing in Mooresville

When my best friend and I decided to visit North Carolina for a week to see a NASCAR race, we knew that part of our trip would be to pay attention to the race. Among the many shops we set out to see was Penske Racing. Since he’s been a Rusty Wallace fan for years and I’m a Kurt Busch fan, it’s a natural fit it seemed On Wednesday morning we left our hotel and arrived at Mooresville, North Carolina.

My first impression was that Penske Racing is huge. The main building was much bigger than we expected. there was always too much in the coach. Finally we drove around the parking lot in circles for several minutes trying to find a place to park . They have signs saying guest parking to one side, but they weren’t spots marked for guests or visitors. Finally, we ended up in the parking lot and hopefully we made our choice from the reserved spot. Then it was a long walk up to the main building which was a lot away from the building.

Once we were inside Penske Racing, one of the working woman there immediately asked a to us if we needed any help. When we admitted that we had never been there before, she kindly He saw space and told us to get there. While they have a view on the first floor, it’s far better to head upstairs where you can get the full eagle eye. a> view of the conduct

The upstairs viewing area was huge and the biggest of any race shop we saw on our entire trip. we saw. The area was completely open so you could stand in a balcony type area and look down on the crew as they worked on the cars. We went to see the passengers who were loaded for the race of Coca-Cola 600. Further down we could see people in operating in the Ryan Newman Car, the Kurt Busch car, and the Sam Hornish Jr. car.

Seeing the floor at Penske Racing, we were quite impressed. Each driver had their own area and we loved seeing the different tools and thingsrace car firsthand, you should stop by Penske Racing sometime.

On the upper floor they also had banners hanging on the walls, showing the drivers and their wins over the years. Ryan Newman already had the flag from the Daytona 500 in place, and several wins from Kurt Busch when joining Penske. They also had who wins from another series on display as an Indy car.

You can look down into the floor, even if you are down hidden by a fairly thick flat glass . There is also a home shopping gift shop with almost every type of souvenir imaginable. We’ve seen everything from cardboard stand ups and tee shirts to hats and shot glasses. They also sell used type sheet metal and their prices are much lower than what you can find online or from other sellers. You will also find many displays displaying cars and trophies that their drivers have won over the years .

We enjoyed our trip to Penske Racing and their race shop, and we can’t wait until we have a chance to go back. It is easily the best type shop in the area.
