Did you know it’s National Everyone’s Day? An avid home cookie baker, my family has perfect cookies for all the big holidays – Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Thanksgiving – and just recently learned that National Cookie Day is celebrated. on the 4th of December. I’m not sure how many people celebrate the nation, but I intend to promote my part. . I believe we can find more days to celebrate with better cookies.
In addition to National Cookie Day, the perfect day to celebrate your cookie of choice, there are several National Cookie Days dedicated to specific cookies, such as the Fig Newton, Brownie, Gingersnap and Oatmeal Cookie. In fact, one day is dedicated to one type of cookie or eleven months of the year, giving us plenty of days to celebrate cookies throughout the year. The annual National Cookie Day fun kicks off with Shortbread Day on January 6 and wraps up with National Pfeffernuesse Day on December 23.
The cookies may be small, but they are a big business, as the girl scouts ask. The multi-billion dollar US cookie industry all started when the first commercial baked cookie, the Animal Cracker, was introduced in 1902. . It’s probably no wonder the US leads the world in cookie baking and cookie eating, with more than $500 million annually in only Oreo
I bet you can guess what the most popular cookie is baked in US homes. Yes, it is a chocolate chip cookie. In fact, the chocolate chip cookie is so popular it has an entire week dedicated to its celebration. The second week of March is Chocolate Chip Cookie Week.
The next time you’re looking for a reason to celebrate with cookies, maybe National Cookie Day can be celebrated. Here is a complete list of all the National Cookie Days I could find. I hope you mark your calendar with your favorite cookies and add some cookies to your life.
