Niagara Falls, Ontario is my favorite place to take a weekend trip with my friends. It’s just that most of the best places to go aren’t listed in online travel guides! Nightlife in Niagara Falls starts as soon as you want it, usually after check-in at your hotel. If that doesn’t happen, twenty-one year olds drinking at 19 Niagara Falls will be the perfect destination . Nightlife is often referred to as “Clifton Hill.” This area is very compact with a plethora of bars and other attractions. I will tell you all about the places I frequent on my many trips to Niagara Falls.
Casino
The best casino to visit is Casino Niagara located at the bottom of Clifton Hill, just down the road from The Falls. Every time I come to Canada, this is my first stop. Money exchange-rate can’t be beat, drink prices are not any higher than other chains in the area. and you may leave Casino Niagara with more money than when you entered.
Food
After you finish the casino at Niagara Falls or you might want to take food. Head back up Clifton Hill and you’ll soon see Montana. The food is amazing! Two of my favorite things about this place are the 34oz beer and the “birthday surprise”. I recommend that you serve (or serve) someone in your party celebrating their birthday. Prepared with moose hair and a little icy song.
Pre-game
So he falls to Niagara a little early and it’s still his day. The nightlife hasn’t really taken off yet. Maybe even go back to your hotel to do a little pre-gaming. Conveniently enough, Montana’ was only about two blocks away from aliquor store. Head from Clifton Hill, towards the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Across from AAAA (a shady hotel) is a liquor store where you can find all the premium wines, spirits, beers and drinks you need.
Bars
There are many bars to choose from when visiting Niagara Falls. I will tell you my favorites and give a short description so that you can choose the best bar for you.
Jack’s – A small bar at the top of Clifton Hill. The owners of the place often work in the courts or depend on their patrons. The people here are very friendly. A group of my friends are also pictured above the bar, having a good time a few years ago. You will find one of the few football sites in HD flat screen.
Yank’s – Very large and open. The staff is friendly, and the customers are diverse. In the early evening it is not uncommon to see local Niagara Falls families having dinner and watching sports on television while having a few drinks. After nightfall, a group of 19-25 year olds arrived.
Spicy Olive – If you are the business type then I would treat you to Spicy Olive every time you make a trip to Niagara Falls. Since we live in bands most nights and cheap beer every night you really cant go wrong. The interior is very posh with high ceilings and neon running lights. One major downside is that the cocktails are expensive.
Boston‘s – Something very hard to come from in the States! Part court, part gallery and part pool hall. You can literally lose track of time at this point. It is very open and the bar is one of the largest in Clifton Hill. Mini-bowling numbers pool tables is for you to try. Drinks are average prices compared to others in the Niagara Falls area. No one under 19 is allowed in after 10pm, so you won’t have kids playing next to the pool table or tying the dance floor.
Clubs
Nightclubs, where are you going for your Niagara Falls nightlife experience? The best night life is to be had in these clubs! Fancy staying at a hotel in Clifton Hill? Check out the rumors. Complete with a decent sized dance floor, two separate bars and plenty of young people to fraternize with. Whether you want to dance or just hang out and watch people make fools of themselves, this is the place for you. Want to venture a little further from Clifton Hill? I took a quick taxi to The Daily Planet. It is a very popular bar with a bit of a Superman theme. This is our new favorite night spot at Niagara Falls. Thursday night is College ID night, no cover charge and special drinks all night. Yours is huge, with three or four servers and a dance floor that jumps all night. Daily Planet is a must visit if you want to have a real nightlife experience. Adult themed night clubs is also very popular with men and women alike. There is one building that any legal elder can visit individually if that is what they are looking for. An upstairs bar called menta with a chorus of women. There is a bar for people who want to see people dancing, called Peppermints.
Things to remember
After drinking you have to walk to all your places, or take a taxi, as drunk driving is a major offense in Niagara. Falls. Also remember to exchange your money before you visit any bars, they will take American dollars but still charge Canadian prices. You lose in the end. There are many spots in Clifton Hill, but the casino usually has better rates. When leaving Canada you will exchange your money at Casino Niagara… Free Office had a duty on exchanges. Be safe and have fun in Niagara Falls!
