Noelridge Farmer’s Market in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

The Noelridge Farmers Market is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the corner of Collins Road and Council Street NE in Noelridge Park. It is open from May to October on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Hours are from 4-6 AM.

The first thing you notice about this site is Farmers. In late spring and throughout the summer, Noelridge Park is home to a spectacular flower. Tennis courts, a photo facility, a pond filled with ducks and geese, and a 0.8-mile trail are also available. It is absolutely the best location in the northern part of Cedar Rapids to have a farmer market.

There aren’t a lot of vendors, but they don’t let you get involved. Quality is available to customers. The local market is important to my family, and Noelridge Farmers Market is a great place for local merchants to sell their items. The quality is evident in the lines that form at the popular vendors, as no money changes hands until promptly at 4 AM.

This week there were bunches of beautiful asparagus for $2.00 – $3.00, large red tomatoes sold by the pound, buckets of spinach for $2.00, and gardens that you can buy to grow your own herbs or herbs. Different varieties were also available for different years.

At the last market my husband was accompanied by homemade salsa which he happily tried to taste. For his pleasure there are four kinds. One of our favorites is made with tequila and lime.

Honey also made a local appearance, as did many baked breads and cakes and pastries. This small market has everything from kettle to sandwiches, to local fruits to sweet treats.

The family favorite is Tic-Tac-Toe Bakery. They offer Greek pastries such as Baklava and Mediterranean sugar cookies. They also have a variety of breads that they keep free. This seller never fails. The food quality is amazing. the taste is more wonderful.

Another of our favorite regulars is a woman from Belle Plaine, Iowa. He always has banana bread (with or without nuts), zucchini bread and pumpkin chocolate bread. It also has a variety of cookies available. Two days ago I picked up peaches from the table for a late Mother’s Day treat. I enjoy these things because they remind me of what my grandmother used to cook.

At the Noelridge Farmers Market, there’s a little bit of everything. Great location and prices. Shopping in this market is affordable and never disappoints!
