Boone Bagelry is located on King Street in Boone, NC, and has been around for as long as I can remember. It is a very popular restaurant with locals and tourists alike, and does a steady stream of business all day long, and with good reason! Everything they make is absolutely delicious.
I’ve tried lots of different bagels all over the country, and their bagels are some of the very best. The different spreads that you can put on your bagel are simply to die for, and they don’t scrimp on portions! When you ask for a bagel with cream cheese, you get a big fat bagel with a thick glob of cream cheese, almost as if you ordered a cream cheese sandwich. Perfect for sharing! It is so good, that my mouth is literally watering right now, just thinking of all the tasty treats they offer.
If you are a vegetarian, they have an excellent, tasty vegetarian menu. The Veggie Gyro is large, and filled with delicious veggies and dressing. You get a generous portion for your money. Also really worth mentioning is their Tempeh Reuben, which is nothing short of fabulous! You can place your order to go, or dine-in. I have done both. The “to-go” order was fast and efficient, and rung up by a friendly cashier. The dine in was just as great. We had an adorable waitress with a wonderful personality and an upbeat attitude. And on top of all this, you get a great value for the money that you spend.
The restaurant was clean and orderly, with tables and chairs wiped clean. I went to the bathroom, and it was neat and clean as could be. It is for one person at a time, and it was so cute that it was like being at a friend’s house. The atmosphere in the restaurant is upbeat and busy, as students and adults of all ages, come and go, placing and picking up orders. The parking lot outside is limited, but that is true of any business on King Street, and as a matter of fact, few have parking at all. Besides, there is plenty of on-street parking within a comfortable walking distance all up and down King Street.
In summary, I would recommend Boone Bagelry to anyone! It is well worth the stop, and they have great items for any time of the day. They open super early, too, for all you early birds who want your Bagel at the crack of dawn. Their food is tasty, low cost, and served with a smile. They have a great, upbeat staff, and keep the place nice and clean. I have no complaints about this place whatsoever. It is truly awesome. If you are in Boone, you should give the Boone Bagelry a try. Your tummy will be so glad you did!
