Olympic Games Track & Field History: Antwerp, 1920

Track and field was one of the 25 sports in the VIIth Olympic Games in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1920. It was a competition. Five hundred and ninety (509) athletes representing twenty nations participated in track and field. Eighty-three (83) athletes representing 12 nations won medals. In the United States he led the medal count with 29 (gold, 12 silver, 8 bronze); followed by Finland with 16 (9 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze), Sweden with 14 (1 gold, 3 silver, 10 bronze), Great Britain with 12 (4 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze), Italy with 4 (2. gold, 2 bronze), France with 4 (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), Africa with 3 (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), Canada with 1 gold, Norway with 1 gold, Australia with 1 silver; Denmark with 1 silver, and Estonia with 1 silver.

Seventeen (17) athletes won more than one medal in track and field.
