Hair is very dry because it is dying. I’ve had this brown for about 2 weeks now, and 3 days ago I took it down a notch and went all black. I thought dying your blonde hair was the only way you could dry your hair. Turns out that my thinking was wrong, dying hair also strips the dark moisture from it.
This was a pleasure, however, when the hair was so dry that if I lit a match it would go up in flames, or if I stood in I ended up picking up the Pantene Pro-V Nourishing Moisture Mask this weekend while out shopping.
I had used Pantene Masques before with great results, so when I came across this newer product, I figured it was a bargain. Here’s a shot. I hid my hair in tight braids so people couldn’t see how dry and dead my hair looked.
The person promises to reveal 5 signs of healthy looking hair. Pantene Pro-V Nourishing Moisture Replenishing Mask will reveal soft, shiny, supple, silky, frizz-controlling hair.
I doubted he would do all that, but I went ahead and bought it anyway. At $4.95, not much to spend.
The instructions on the jar read to first shampoo my hair, and then fill in the Pantene Pro-V moisture nourishing mask, and leave it on the hair for 5 minutes.
I find hair wetting best in masks.
I dyed my hair, towel dried it, and then applied a generous amount of Pantene Pro-V Nourishing Mask, filling the mask with my hair. I used half a liter bottle and saturated the hair in the mask.
So I put a plastic bag over my head for an hour and rinsed. I find that doing it this way gives you more moisture, deeper conditioning and better results than leaving it on for just 5 minutes.
My results:
I have seen the most dramatic results with dry hair. Hair is left shinier, silkier, and more moisturized. My hair didn’t see any moisture, but the moisture was enough to get my hair back in order again. (This doesn’t feel like dry grass).
Although my hair was left with beautiful new results, it wasn’t enough for me. I usually leave it after every mask or condition on hair in my hour I find excellent results. The results with the Pantene Pro-V Moisture Replenishing Mask were just pure.
Don’t get me wrong, it helped big time, but it didn’t work because I got the other Pantene cain masks a> that I used.
Odor:
The smell is nice, but nothing overpowering. It has a light floral scent that reminded me of gardenia, roses, and honey.
Texture:
Pantene Pro-V Moisture Replenishing Mask is a thick cream. As she moved through my hair, she left a slightly greasy feeling on my palms. Not too greasy, but the fat sensation is definitely noticeable.
Recommendation:
I’m not going to tell you to run away if you rent on the shelves, because it’s not a horrible job. It is a convenient mass, but some large ones. If you can pick up a sale, I recommend it for a dry hair fixer upper. For very dry hair, not so much.
