For almost two years now I have been a happy homemaker and full-time resident of Monroe County, in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. National Parks
Around the beautiful Pocono Mountains we have access to admire some of our nation’s most beautiful natural parks. Gap National Park is located near Stroudsburg, PA, the county seat. A magnificent view of the “Gap” is possible as you approach from the West on Interstate 80. Through the break in the mountains you can see the Delaware River and the giant the trees that grow on the side of the bridge you drive over the Interstate. The park itself preserves 40 miles of the middle Delaware River and nearly 70,000 acres of land along the New Jersey and Pennsylvania shores. You can take a day to drive through the park and see the waterfalls and visit historic Millbrook Village. Saturday street in summer with Park wanderers and art volunteers persons in period costume demonstrate the skills of the season. . Some of the original structures are open for visits.

Transit outlet shopping center in Tannersville, PA. This is always a “stop” when our friends from England visit us. You can’t beat the savings on Ann Taylor, Gap, Jones New York, Waterford, Wedgwood. There is plenty of free parking and on a nice day you can wander around to your hearts content and shop for all the great savings. As you stroll around your shopping district, treat your eyes to the beautiful Pocono Mountains that surround you.
