Perdue Italian Style Turkey Meatballs

At an AA meeting group’s anniversary party I recently attended, plenty of food items were offered on long, paper-covered tables. Among the dishes I enjoyed most of the evening were some pretty little meatballs that were swimming in a marinara sauce. After I asked one of the people serving the food where the meats came from, he told me they were Turkey Perdue Italian Style Meatballs, which are fully cooked meatballs.

To be honest, I’ve never heard of turkey-meatballs being packaged before that evening. I told the woman I wanted to write a review about the meatballs and she said there were two piles of empty Perdue Italian Turkey Meatballs still in the kitchen. I kept one box for research purposes and thanked him very much.

Presented here, in an effort to help consumers, is one of the meat writer’s product review Meatballs Turkey Perdue Italian Style.

Size
The standard net weight – package size of Perdue Italian Style Turkey Meatballs is 12 ounces. According to the packaging, the container holds four servings of four meats. I think most people think servings of this size are realistic, but these turkey meats taste so good that many people are likely to eat more than four.

Price
The regular retail price of a single 12-ounce package of Perdue Italian Style Turkey Meatballs at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets is approximately $2.99. I think this is a reasonable price for sure. It works out to about $0.18c per meatball.

Texture
These meatballs provide a nice texture that I think is quite similar to a beef and/or sausage meatball. There is a good ratio of meat to crumbs, and the meat is well collected. When I ate these meats, with sauces and pasta, their texture was equally pleasing as many varieties of beef and / or meatball sausage.

Nutritional Res
Perdue Italian Style Turkey Meatballs contain 180 calories, with 90 calories from fat, per four meatball serving. These tasty soups also contain saturated fat P.*3, P. polyunsaturated, fat P.*10, 45 mg . Cholesterol, sodium, 200 grams, 5 grams of total carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of pure fiber, 2 grams of sugar, 15 grams of protein, per four servings of carbohydrates.

Taste / Taste
When I was eating these foods recently, I immediately noticed what a delicious flavor and texture they had to offer. I could tell that they were not made from beef, but I would guess from chicken or veal, or maybe some Cebu alternative. When the woman at the party told me that the meat was made from turkey, I was very surprised.

These Italian style meatballs are made with turkey, Parmesan and Pecorino Romano cheeses, parsley, onion, garlic and other ingredients. Their flavor is pleasant and mild and well seasoned. I think if more consumers have tried the Italian Style Turkey Meatballs, they will become fans of this item.

Packaging
The meatballs are packaged in blue and yellow meatballs in a blue and yellow box. The box features a cutaway window through which the plastic wrapped film can be viewed. The box opens easily and re-closes efficiently and the back label contains all the relevant ingredients and nutrition.

Super Rating
If you’re into savory, Italian-style meatballs, you’ll enjoy the taste and texture of these fully-cooked Turkish meatballs. These foods are not only tasty, but they are also reasonably-priced and can be heated quickly. As a staple in many supermarkets across America, Perdue’s Italian Style Turkey Meatballs come highly recommended by this food writer.
