Once your teen starts driving and gets their own car, they will want to make it uniquely their own. Affordable accessories can give your teen’s automobile a look that corresponds to their personality and expresses their individuality.
Popular themes are cartoon characters, like Tweety Bird and Tinker Bell; camouflage, butterflies, flowers and tattoo style designs, like that available under the Ed Hardy name.
Many of the characters or styles that teens like are available in a number of matching accessories that gives a uniform look throughout the interior of the car. Some accessories that you can find in these designs are steering wheel covers, seat covers, floor mats, cd organizers, even license plate frames.
You can find car accessories at a variety of stores. Auto parts stores carry a limited offering of interior accessories. At the local O’Reilly Auto Parts I even ran across an Ed Hardy themed air freshener. You can visit your local department stores, like Wal-Mart or other local department stores.
For the best selection at your fingertips, browse the websites of retailers for items that aren’t in stock at the brick and mortar store near you. Even Amazon has car accessory kits that give a complete look for around $100.
The website CuteSense has a large variety of character car accessories. A 15-piece set of Hello Kitty car accessories will run you around $200. Not all designs come in such large sets, but you can find a lot of variety to fit your child’s taste. A teen aged boy would probably not lean toward characters and animal prints. For a decidedly more masculine look I would recommend the ‘tougher’ looking designs. The tiger tattoo design, skull rose tattoo design, skull inferno design or the Harley Davidson logo accessories are perfect for a teenaged boys car.
