My son recently spent his first night away from me at his dormitory TaeKwonDo gym. He used to spend the night with the bird, but it was different. He was not with his family. After some struggle, I let him go home. I felt guilty, mother, like I was leaving. But that’s a big deal. I decided to allow her a salary, a husband and a reward – and she chose to sleep in our house.
My first thought was – can I actually take care of other people’s kids overnight? We got together with guest-list and all together, we are going to have eight kids. I’m also nuts. But I had enlisted one of the other mothers to stay as well, so that I would not do it alone.
I planned this dream as a birthday party. Birthday suggested in my zone. You have an object, a check list, and that’s it. In addition, since my son’s birthday is the first week of school, he usually gets the short end of the staff when he rushes to party with new classmates he barely knows. So this must be supplemented. I started preparing a way to organize a birthday party theme. What I thought was a logical argument for sleeping turned out to be my biggest challenge. I wanted to organize a countryside themed party.
What I found is that although this topic seems to be relatively common, there really aren’t many ideas out there. You don’t know the amount of parts in the camping section. But, after doing quite a bit of research, I have a plan. If you are thinking about a theme party – try some of these ideas:
Invitations
Technically, you don’t need invitations for a dorm. But I like the invitations. Makes guests feel special. These can be as simple or as complicated as you like. You could go as basic as folding construction paper in half with everything detailed inside and hand-drawn pictures on the outside. Alternatively, you can use clip art from your computer or stickers. Think about using common camp images: owls, sleeping bags, tents, campfires, s’mores, moons, lanterns. You can use any of these shapes if you want again with intrinsic precision. As for our party, we made the invitations a little more fancy. Each child got their own box. I used a band strap as it was enclosed inside the box. Then I added the golden brownie bags with the grahams, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Attached to the s’mores treat was a “Camping Checklist.” On top of that the invitation was made out of cardstock with an owl on the front that said “Hoo Hoo Who’s ready for the Sleepover?” Inside, I know everyone knows that even though it’s a camp theme, and they need to bring sleeping bags, we’re going to be “camping” in the room.
Decoration
Leaves, weapons, tents, camps, and lamps from the roof (or outside). You don’t have to go crazy with jewelry. After all, kids are there to have fun. And you’re the only one who’s going to know about the jewelry. I’m doing one. Perhaps a floral arch is the type you would like to use for your wedding. I will hang a fake leaf from the porch, and place it at the bottom of the stairs. Therefore, when the children walk through the stairs, they will have to go through an arch of leaves, just as they are going into the forest.
Food
Camp food is simple. If you have a wood burning, a portable fire pit, or the ability to make a campfire, you are in luck. Do kids have skewers or sticks to cook hot dogs (before you think sticks are dirty, remember you did it when you were a kid ), serve chips and baked beans, and s’mores for dessert. You will also receive a scout and camp. I remember the table to split to open the Banana, but not to peel it by inserting chips, nuts, fruit; and wrapping the whole of the swamp in the cleft in foil, and sticking the cooks on the top of the camp. In a couple of minutes the banana and her toppings all got gooey and she shook them with a spoon. You can also serve trail mix, popcorn, hot chocolate, juice bug (green iron), You could go to lunch all with they throw out eggs and bacon, or go simple with donuts and juice. We go with golden graham crackers, chocolate chips, and swamp milk (could also be served trail mix< /a> style). Whatever you do, make sure you are serving junk food. The best sleepovers have junk food!
Props
Think about what you will need to complete your activities. Additionally, what props will the kids make to make the campers feel better? I searched online cheap, the kids could wear each to try out the camp. Individuals will receive a hat, a turban, a flashlight, a magnifying glass, and a drink holding a water bottle by tying it comfortably around your neck. You can also give hides “field codes” and brushes to complete any activities. You can’t find camping theme party supplies stores, but online sources like orientaltradingcompany.com are a great start. Hardware stores and dollar store may also have what you need.
Actions
This can be as loose or as structured as you want. I like the structure, and I organize many activities, especially at the beginning, so that the guests get comfortable with each other, and make sure that no one gets bored. This also serves another purpose for tired kids to sleep well. For our camp party, I loosely modeled it after some scout programs where kids complete a task and earn a “badge” of some kind. In our case, each product will have a special colored header attached, which can be attached to its caps. There are a lot of activities that you can have at the camping party. Consider the ages of the kids, the number of kids you call, and how much time you have. It is better to think more, and not to do everything.
Get wooden tricks from the hardware store and have the kids decorate their own. Marketing can use images and symbols to describe themselves. Then, go on the camel and use your sticks!
While on the hike, go on scavenger hunts. Print out a list of things to find the head of the season, and glue them to the list in a journal to make it easier for the kids. Think about your area and the time of year to make a reasonable list. You can include anything: bird nests, birds, animal tracks, animal skins, poison ivy (it’s a good document. ), scats (animal droppings), animal houses like snake holes and tunnels, squirrels and squirrel nests, water like streams and ponds, flowers, and different leaf colors. For really young kids, they make very basic objects like the sun, tree, grass, flower, etc.
Take some afternoon bugs in the dark and hide them around the yard or in the house. Then the kids use their flashlight to find as many as possible.
Teach kids safe cooking skills. Anyways you need to edit it to turn it into a group activity where you can earn a badge.
Get medical devices, bandages, clubs, bandages. Teach the kids some basic first aid skills and have the kids practice tying a bandaid and an armband.
Kids practice their drama skills by playing ghost stories (or not-so-scary stories), playing charades; or preparing to perform in a talent show.
Learn what most animals need to survive: food, water, light, shelter. Then provide each child with a jar of jelly and stickers to decorate the jar with. Pump up the kiddie-pool ahead of time, and fill the aquarium with a few fish. Allow the kids to “fish” with a net in their container and take it home. Make sure the students get fish so that their fish has all the elements to survive.
To teach kids about Native American. Give them the skills to tell a story with gestures or pictures. The only rule is that they cannot use words. Then see if the kids can understand each other’s stories.
Have the kids prepare for a good job. It can be a project for an elderly person in the neighborhood, or a simple deed for a brother or sister or friend.
Have the kids create an obstacle outside the course and race through it. They include things like Frisbee throws, bean bag races, bean-bags throws, running through cones, running three times with an egg on a spoon removes
Have kids typical camp skills such as rowing, archery, knot tying, arts and crafts, or swimming, if possible.
The kids have a special motto and shake hands and create and memorize.
Find out what scouting organizations have for kids to achieve certain goals – and do it yourself!
A movie before the kids go to sleep is a good way to fall asleep. Before the movie starts a good time for the kids who didn’t stay to leave, and a good time for the kids who stayed to put on their pajamas.
final thoughts
Remember to save the phone number of all parents just in case anyone calls home.
Wake up the kids an hour before their parents arrive. They dress, eat, break, teeth, can brush, and help clean so you don’t get stuck. a big mess
Prepare the kids clothes ahead of time you will need – pajamas, jackets, sneakers, etc.
Remember that even if you plan to do fun-things, kids are kids and do what they want. Keep your ideas handy, just in case. They can just go outside and play tag or baseball on the floor. They will enjoy whatever they do.
So, if you’re planning a themed camp party, or a sleepover party, I hope you now have some ideas to get you started. With a little creativity, you can make sure your child has a party or sleepover to remember. First of all, remember to be prepared, and have fun.
