At first the thought of bark cutting-boards”>cutting board sent my mind reeling with bits of bark in my food or breaking through a thin object I put it in the sink for the first time, but boy was I surprised. The Cork Wood Cutting Board from the architect is a great alternative to those plastic and wood cutting boards that are so environmentally unfriendly.
A safe alternative in terms of both environmental impact and anti-bacterial safety is Cork Wood Cutting Board and you can have a great choice from the company called Architects. I received a cutting board for review and it’s a nice size for just about anything in your kitchen at 18 by 12 inches and about a half inch thick. A smaller version is also available in a 9 by 12 inch size, but the same half inch thickness.
The notch board has a nice aluminum grommet an inch and a quarter wide for hanging the board and the board is not rough but very light. The aluminum grommet makes it nice to move the board around and keep it in place when transferring the contents into a pot or pan. /a>.
The bark of bark trees grown in Europe and China, which are cut by the hand of the trees bark, but they are not afraid that the tree seems helpless. The bark will return in the year and the tree will continue to produce this great natural resource again and again. to harvest without a wound in the tree.
I thought about cork and cork boards and the first thing I thought was that this cork was used for flooring and how to constantly break the pieces of cork when run your hand Cork Wood Cutting Board is made in open heat and pressure process, which makes the surface of the grain thin and light in section of the board and very flexible.
I’m sure you could break it if you wanted to, but it bends well and allows the user to bend it and not have it snap in half easily. The board is nice for countertop use as the bark has a nice non-slip surface so it doesn’t slip in use. Aluminum grommet aluminum is flush with the rest of the board surface on both sides so you can use both sides and not worry about the grommet scratching the thin surface of the countertop .
The board works very well for all the uses I’ve tried of fresh vegetables and canned fruits foods like roast chicken and beef both cooked and uncooked. I used to chop chicken and raw red-meat and found that it cleans up very easily, much easier than mine. I usually use a plastic cutting board.
Fat and grease from chicken and beef does not stick to the surface of the crust and makes cleaning easy, as it leaves no smell. You can chop onions and garlic right on the board and wash it without leaving any odors after washing.
The easiest care is to cut the board like any other wood; You will wash with soap and water and wash the inside. For a regular care routine company suggests mineral oil as chefs and others recommend cutting wooden boards. Just put a little on a paper-towels towel and wipe, leave it until it absorbs and wipe off any excess. in a few minutes.
Using a rind cutting board with a variety of vegetables, fruits and meats, I have not found any rinds cut off or leftover in my food, and I really can’t find any cut marks on it. The wood panel also cuts marks, but the bark allows for a much better “self-healing” quality and does not leave marks like regular wood does. I’m sure the board will get marked after a lot of use, but I’m sure it won’t be as bad as some woods I’ve seen after years of use.
If you use a serrated chisel on the board, it will leave a mark if you press hard enough but the bark will press into the cut and “take care”. This self-healing property is why we have long used bark for boards with pins and machines, and now we apply the same healing properties to the cutting board. I had the hardest time finding a cutting board after cutting the bread with that sharp chisel.
The Cork Wood Cutting Board from architec is available on many culinary websites as well as Crate and Barrel stores and of course Amazon. I highly recommend the Cork Wood Cutting Board from Architec for a great natural alternative that is environmentally friendly.
