Product Review: Baby Einstein Discovery Cards

The Einstein Children’s Company produces many products that are used for the instruction of young children. What started in 1997 as a one-man video producer has blossomed into a company now owned by Disney that produces everything from DVDs to toys and clothing. Educational discovery cards are flash produced by the company Einstein Babies, and are for use by children from infants to 9 months old.

Six Baby Einstein Discovery Charts are available: Animal, Numbers and Shapes, Times, Baby Noah, Touch and Feel, Alphabet, Nature. Each card is printed on thick, durable cardboard and has a different picture on the front, with a description or interesting facts On the opposite side. The papers are to be used in dealing with the child’s parent, and are set up as such.

I bought three of these Baby Einstein Discovery Cards: Animals (29 cards), Baby Noah Touch and Feel (10 cards), and Nature Discovery (29 cards).

The Baby Einstein Animal Discovery Card includes animals that children recognize (dogs and cats) and some that many will never meet (turtles of the sea, otter). My 18-month-old enjoys imitating the sounds of the animals he recognizes and is starting to remember some of the other animals when I quiz him. As he grew older, the facts on his back came to our good relations. I like that we will be using these cards for a long time to come.

Boy Noah’s Touch and the sheets of synthetic film (skin, etc) are repaired that stick to the head. animal body So, your child will learn that a bear has short hair, a camel saves hair, and a dolphin. it is slippery. These touch cards also come with information on the reverse side.

I would recommend Baby Nature Einstein Discovery Card to be used for children a little older than 18 months. The photos on the cards are beautiful, but they contain images that may be difficult for younger children to understand. For example, the picture on the nighttime star card is the five-pointed star most toddlers learn to identify. Other pictures that are difficult for young children to understand include a beach, a sunset, a wetland, a planet, a comet, and waves.

Some of the photos in these cards are the same photos used in other Baby Einstein products, such as the book and DVDs . So it is continuous that your child learns to help.

These cards are relatively durable, although the lion and our dogs have big wrinkles on them, and my daughter ate the corner of the horse card . Baby Noah’s touch and feel like a card, but they are more durable because they are thicker to accommodate whatever touch object sticks. If you’re looking for something more indestructible, I’d recommend the book instead. Additionally, the boxes these items come in are not very durable. I had to put the papers in an old plastic VHS box.

Overall, I would recommend the three Baby Einstein Discovery Cards I did. I enjoy them with my daughter and she asks for them every time she does her books.
