Razer Orbweaver mechanical keypad that is specific to the left hand in the left hand game as in the edge of the keyboard with pad a thumb that allows extra movement or determination for quick input. The Orbweaver has 20 mechanical keys on top with a thumb pad, a button and thumb lever on the side for use while your left hand is placed for convenient rest.
The Orbweaver comes with a mechanical keypad and instructions along with the usual Razer certificate of authenticity and a Razer sticker with drivers available to download from the Razer website. The Orbweaver keypad has an adjustable palm rest that is attached to a thumb pad that moves forward and back about half an inch and has a decent adjustment for your hand size.
The thumb is also about 5/8ths of a finger away from the angle or to the palm rest, the same adjustment for hand size, the palm rest points back and forth for hand comfort. Your heel hand rests on the bottom of rubberized plastic with the rest of the palm contoured and also made of plastic. for comfort and grip during the game, but with some space to cool down for each part.
The nail head and thumb body are made of plastic material with every noise pad. a> metal, it seems, is iron for the strength of this tempering point is smaller. The settings on the Orbweaver keypad are perfect for mixing different hand sizes and keeping things simple without using tools like small temperature control buttons.
The Orbweaver has twenty mechanical keys so it feels better to touch it to know your key pressure, but when playing you just don’t pay much attention to the feeling when the keypad works like this. The main home key for gaming and keypads is the S key to keep your hand centered in the motion of the hunting keys and the Orbweaver indicates right in the center of the key for decent finger placement information.
You can use the Razer Synapse software to map your key pads to any key on the keyboard or use specific macros, which can also include timing key presses for specific gaming functions. Synapse Razer also has unlimited profiles such as Orbweaver gaming keypad keys and thumb controls for any keyboard key or macro and save in the Cloud for fast and easy programming wherever you are over the internet.
Razer Synapse 2.0 software allows you to save profiles on Razer servers for unlimited game and software use and you can use eight different key maps to quickly switch between key assignments between game software. This doesn’t fit in the game until you realize that some games have unique and different games in the same game like I’m running favorite line III
Line 3 has three unique missions for gameplay with first-foot shooting as the main aspect, but you can also climb into the driver’s seat of various vehicles both on land and in the air. When jumping into a tank or a faster vehicle like an armored bike the keys can no longer be used for the same things, but now the jumping seat is a more important factor and not kneeling or jumping.
The various keymaps allow you to quickly switch from one set of keymaps to another, as quickly as possible by jumping into a pool in the game so that you have all the new keymaps in the game without doing more than pressing a button. I set Orbweaver to use two map keys, one for the first-person shooter on foot and the other for vehicle use, so I can quickly and easily switch between the two with a simple press of the thumb up and down.
The main difference between the pedestrian and the vehicle is the main movement such as kneeling or prone on the foot and changing seats in vehicles and the thumb pad to switch between the two key panels works well. I tried to use the thumb-pad for movement, but I couldn’t get myself to use my thumb to move around in the virtual world, but it works really well for my purposes like changing weapons and map key assignments.
The Razer Synapse software allows you to set the keys before the game and during the game using the game options, if you want, but it is easier and more permanent throughout the game to set the key pad pad in the Synapse. Keeping different characters in the game not only means you have keys mapped to a specific key pad and thumb control, but also eight key mappings per profile for a wider variety of quickly switchable keymaps.
Three LEDs on the side of the thumb pad show which keymaps you’re using while onscreen words tell you which profile you’re using when you turn it on and can be changed either using the Synapse software, the Razer Synapse right-click menu or the associated software. Linking a program with a profile means that when you run those programs as a game EXE file, the Razer Orbweaver will automatically switch to that profile so you can quickly start playing the game with the right graphics card.
I’ve been a gamer for years with first person shooters being my main gaming staple, but I only use about half of the keyboard when gaming, as at least half of the keys are unused by games. The key pad is a solution not only to make the game easier to have fewer keys at your fingertips, but also to allow the key assignments to become familiar and easily controlled by the thumb.
The Razer Orbweaver is a great key pad and works better than previous game pads I’ve reviewed mainly due to the better overall design and keys. more of a gambling game. Orbweaver works well and I get a faster response for common key presses but the main difference I’ve seen is that I keep my eyes on the screen and don’t look down at my fingers.
With the game I often had to look at my keyboard to see what key I was pressing for things like changing weapons or changing rates of fire, but with the Razer Orbweaver I look much less from the screen and the action. I highly recommend the Razer Orbweaver as a fantastic gaming peripheral that will give you an edge over the game as you keep your eyes where they are and your fingers controlling the action.
