The Taito Rock King size is a fantastic cloth and foam rubber mouse pad that makes a great everyday and gaming pad that covers a good portion of your desk or table so your mouse doesn’t fall off the edge.

The Roccat Taito is a foam rubber and linen cloth that works exceptionally well for computer use and general everyday use, and comes in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. The Taito Shiny Black Mousepad comes in small, medium and large sizes that Roccat calls Mini, Mid and King, but Taito also comes in 3 and 5 millimeter thicknesses.
The king size Roccat Taito comes in a clear plastic container with the Taito wrapped to keep it from slipping and getting dirty before it arrives at your doorstep but it completely unfolds when you unpack it. The Taito I got is the largest king size which is 3mm thick, but the Taito mousepad also comes in 5mm thickness for an extra cushion.
The size of the Taito King is 455 by 370 mm or about 18 by 14.5 inches for a really good sized mouse that will cover a good section of your desk or table for plenty of surface area. Since I’ve been using mousepad, I’m not just testing games, but I’m using it for image editing, word processing and website updating which is about all my computer work. mouse pad will provide even and consistent movement of the cursor on the screen for whatever program you are currently using and is made of a tight weave and heat treated cloth to the great motion of the smooth runner.
The Roccat Taito is made with a heat treated nano pattern instead of a simple shiny cloth meaning to weave the pattern on both sides. When the cloth is woven, it has more of a pattern on one side than the other, and even when it is more tightly woven, it can be uneven on one side due to the optical sensor. A tighter weave makes for a better munching surface, but heat treating the cloth cloth can also make for a smoother surface for your optical sense to read.
When you see the outside of the cloth part of the mousepad you also have a thin layer of rubber foam that is attached to the cloth and gives you a hand pad and a good grip on the table or desk in the mousepad. The foam rubber surface comes in two thicknesses for more comfort or a lower surface to use for your mouse, which holds well even on flat boards with a laminate surface.
The size of the Taito King makes the mouse great for gaming and the movement of the cursor across the screen is very smooth and compatible even with a cheaper mouse. Gaming mice like the Razer Naga 2012 edition work on this extremely light surface and the Roccat mouse company has tested a variety of mice.
Roccat not only tests its mice with its gaming mice like the Kone + but also tests other mouse companies to ensure that their mice work well for multipurpose mice. Logitech, Razer, Microsoft and SteelSeries have all been tested to ensure that the Roccat mouse pad works well for a variety of gaming mice.
The Roccat Taito makes a fantastic muscle and works very well for general computer use and excels in gaming moments. The size of the King Taito is a great size and even after a little over a month of use I see no wear or abrasion on the wall, but with these cloth and the foam rubber mousepads you will see some peeling and the edges eventually falling off.
I have two musspads from other companies that have performed well after a year or more of use and I will come back with an update if the musspad shows excess wear or holds up well after a while. For now, Roccat Taito has reintroduced the Razer cloth and foam rubber mouse pad for the everyday mouse surface, which is comfortable and extremely light for gaming and everyday computer use.
I highly recommend the Roccat Taito King Size for a great gaming mouse that costs around $20 and is available on the Roccat website along with other places like Amazon, Newegg and Tigerdirect.
