The summer presents lots of challenges for parents. The biggest one is how to entertain their children during the time off from school. For those of you in the Baltimore/Annapolis area I recommend Pump It Up in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Pump it Up in Glen Burnie, Maryland is one of those inflatable play areas that children can go and burn off energy at 715 E Ordnance Road. It is located in an industrial park area so you will need to find suites 101-103 to find the location. With the summer months quickly approaching it is a great option to take your children to for a cool place to play if you are sick of going to the pool.
Pump It Up allows kids to climb on those inflatable play toys you see at many carnivals and fairs, but as Emeril would say “they take it up a notch”. There are anywhere from 6 to 10 blow up play areas for the children to climb and bounce on. These include slides, inflatable rock climbing areas, and trampoline type play areas. There are also plenty of games for the children to play while at the open play. Of course there is loud music to keep your children entertained as well.
Pump it Up is most commonly used for birthday parties, and many parents in the Baltimore and Annapolis areas fail to realize that Pump It Up has open play hours. These open play hours currently are just two days a week. Those days are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. These are limited times for play, but Pump It Up in Glen Burnie, Maryland has been known to add additional open play days when demand is highest. For the hour and a half play session it will cost $7 for the first child. I only have one, but friends of mine save money when they bring both their children as the second child an a family only costs $4 for the open play period. If you are a daycare provider, or just a neighborhood parent that brings six or more children in for an open play session you only pay $5 per child. Keep in mind that you will need to have each child’s parent sign a waiver though for the children to play at Pump It Up in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
Keep in mind that socks are required as well, this usually isn’t an issue in the cooler months but many kids wear shoes without socks in the summer months and forget about that when attending Pump It Up in Glen Burnie, Maryland. My two year old son went to a few birthday parties there and no asks if he can “go to bouncey place” often.
