Radical Movements in America

American society mirrored many of the nation’s changes in the late 20th century. I will list four movements individually, the labor/communist movement, the civil rights/black liberation movement, the women’s rights/women’s liberation movement, and the peace movement of the middle of the 20th century. Each movement had many associations and commissions that fought for their ideas and with many of them I will be significant in analyzing some groups over others to stay short and to thank for the overall change of American politics and society through them. To understand the long-term effects of each group on American politics and society, we will look at the goals, where each group is intended, the system used to achieve their goals, their achievements, and even their failures. Through this form of analysis, I hope to provide evidence of both the long-term changes that you have seen in American society as a result of the radical movement.

The first movement I would like to look at is the labor/communist movement. This movement had many institutions under it. From the Communist Party, the Chopin Cultural Center, the League of American Writers, the People’s Drama, the Committee for the Protection of Bill of Rights, and the Yugoslav Ship Sailors, each organization had unique goals and failures (Zinn 432). A group/party that I feel exemplifies this movement is the “Socialist Party of America”. The movement in 1901 was comprised primarily of progressive reformers and the immigrant community. At its birth, the party held out its ideals of socialism and even a compromise between communism and American politics. He fought for civil liberties like the ACLU for , yet was accused by corporate America and the federal government as the outcome of the communists. . Indeed, one of the first goals he set for himself was an independent third party of the American political system. With the emergence of the “New Left”, the Socialist Party of America quickly established itself as an opponent of mainstream American politics, achieving the goals of workers’ rights (and later helping the ACL -CIO fight for the rights of workers across America). He also consistently recognized the fight against American politicians as a Stalinist group. Ruskie’s so-called attempt to plunge America into the confusion of red ideology. Most of them are politically motivated after WW2. They often fight in the political arena. However, the enemies were increasing. During the years of the Cold War and the high tensions of anti-communist behavior, many political laws were established (such as the Internal Security Act, Zinn 453) which led to its emergence as a powerful group and finally broke it into small associations where they fight among themselves. In the movie “Dr. Strangelove” I like to see the actual movements towards Socialist/communism in America as the relations of the American general (George C. Scott) to the Russian ambassador in the meeting of the president’s apartment. So certain achievements have arisen from this circle, well the structure of the American defense is at the center of them. There certainly where many other groups held this purpose, but I think the “Socialist Party of America” where he can refuse two political minds (Democrats or Republicans) and rather reconcile the situation with the hatred of Communism in the 1960’s. I believe this is a fact that we no longer pursue in American politics today because of the development of other parties in our political system. However, when talking about political ideology and socialist movements, you don’t get very far without touching on the basics of civil rights.

The Civil Rights / Black Liberation Movement in America, in my opinion, should also be closely linked with women’s rights. Of course, there are huge differences in these movements, as the favorite black comedian Chris Rock says “women are confident and blacks have had a hard time in America , but the women remembered their bundle, where they were burned alive. They started the civil rights/black liberation movement. https://e-info.vn/tag/martin-luther-king-jr”>Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and W.E.B Du Bois. But the group I am going to analyze is SNCC or more formally known as the Student Nonviolent Coordinated Committee. SNCC where they fight for the liberation of blacks all over America but not as a fight for white men to rule change but according to what they say “blacks to show the world where they are incapable of freeing themselves” (Bloom 116). to be treated equally. Their system, like many other civil rights organizations, included INS, freedom rides, organized speech and organized suffrage events. Like other groups, he also opposes brutal police raids on First Amendment rights. They were treated as un-equal, ridiculed as failures for attempting non-violent cooperation. But steadily, more and more Americans valued the desertion of communities and equal opportunities for all people and became supporters of unity and peace (Bloom 117). How the American political system has changed, both those who have the power of the laws of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and in today’s society of America, are now truly proud of the freedom and the pursuit of happiness for all its citizens. SNCC is also an ideal group to analyze because it also ties into feminist beliefs and, more importantly, the women’s rights movement had ties with the bands. The Women’s Rights Movement also had its share of triumphs and failures. Through SNCC’s growth in its female membership and notable women’s rights leaders such as Ruby Sales,

The “peace movement” in this paper is closely examined through the peace movement in America arising in response to the war Vietnam. The peace movement used methods of non-violence, not cooperation, but the steps of the civil rights movement. But the main reason was the use of public goods. The government was opposed to peaceful demonstrations at this time. The Anti-draft group was first formed but after the war there was a media investigation for several weeks, I believe the peace movement really began. The demonstrations that took place in Washington D.C. or the anti-war surprise was the heart of the interest in the peace movement, even a form of life style arose from involvement in such peace movements and its members later became known as hippies. The will of the young to be in charge of their lives, and what they had commanded the old to do (Bloom 211), (I believe the respect for the old in meeting to send the young to war), was seen all over the world. My only analysis, which brings me to the figure of what is happening, was the method of the demonstrations in the video Berkely in the 1960′. This comparison is a bit of a stretch, but it certainly meant the movement of adult institutions. a period of time How the movement has made such a change in society, it shows America and the world the commitment of the government to oppose with the decisions of the government. In this way, such movements are considered radical, because they fight institutions and organizations that are somehow considered formal.

All these movements had a radical step in America, whether from a political or social dimension. Each movement is also designed to achieve specific goals. Whether demanding racial or racial equality or defending political machinations in the light of the peace movement, each of the four movements had lasting effects on the American system. Politically we now have equality for all citizens, we can also agree or not choose to join one political party or form. We Americans have this freedom. From a social point of view, as Americans, we can be proud of our social equality given to all citizens in the world. We can also be proud of our protections from corporate machines, our rights to fair and just conditions (unions, effect ..) . All these liberties, where they were not given, were fought by radicals, men and women who did not conform to “what they were told to do”, challenged the system and their results are what America has become today.

The civil rights movements were similar, although secular acts there committed representations across the country (burning sashes, a symbol of the end of women’s feelings in the old world) (Bloom 40). Many of the goals of the women’s movement were achieved and achieved, equal opportunities. Equal relationships with people in society (casual and formal) and equal acceptance in institutions once held for the majority of people (such as schools, government offices, and institutions). Again, a change to mainstream American politics and society, where it is roughly equivalent to the civil rights movement. Women’s equality was much more accepted by all races than most of the civil rights movement, because “the black man was alone, with few friends and no one to use.” (Zinn 448). While the civil rights movement and women’s liberation all movement placed all its policies on ethical foundations (equality of all men and women) the last movement that I analyzed but had different results.
