The Randy Jackson’s America’s Best dance Crew, the hottest dancing competition in the US, has declared the winner. Among the 12 competing crews, the JabbaWockeez crew emerged as the winning group, crushing Status Quo with a remarkable performance in the final. Members of JabbaWockeeZ were Jeff Nguyen aka “Phi”, 26, from Phoenix, AZ; Ryan Shawn Paguio, 26, from San Diego, CA; Ben Chung aka B-Tek, 26, Mission Hills, CA; Kevin Brewer, of Sacramento, CA; Phil Tayag, 23, also of Sacramento, CA; and Chris Gatdula, 26, from Las Vegas, NV.
The two groups fought a final battle in the battle, but still, JabbaWockeeZ seemed to steal the hearts of Americans, when millions of votes declared the group as the ultimate champion. Status Quo members, who are Joshua Green, 20; Ernest Phillips, 21, Jayjion Greer aka “Jin Lao”, 18; Jamal Weaver, 20; and Dwayne Hines, 18 (all from Boston, MA) did not lose in vain. They served as one of the first shows in the history of sports competition in the US.
In episode 7, the three remaining crew members who are JabbaWockeez, Status Quo and Modern Caba competed and gave their best. Status Quo performed the first act. The judges were impressed with their amazing performances, but failed to impress with their choreography.
Episode 6 provided one of the most exhilarating performances of the show. The remaining four crew members battled it out on the dance floor and performed hip hop dances to a mix of Traditional Broadway Acts. An excellent work was done by Status Quo, as they performed their version of “Hairspray”.
The contestants performed Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in Episode 5. This was done in honor of the artist who became legendary with his dance prowess and also to celebrate his album’s twenty-fifth anniversary. “Thriller” has sold over 45 million copies worldwide, and is considered one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
In Episode 4, the crew were made to dance while representing their respective characters in the films. The audience and the judges were amazed by those amazing performances.
In Episode 3, the sailors were performing folk dances that performed amazing skills.
The remaining eight crew members, in Episode 2, were made to perform an act based on the popular movie. They have to have a unique interpretation that is still alive when I see it. The competition started with 12 groups (consisting of six members) showcasing their hottest moves, they are: Full Out, Movement, Automatic Response, Enigma Dance Crew, Femme 5, Iconic, Live Color, Fysh n Pulli, BreakSk8, Kaba Modern, Status Quo, and the JabbaWockeeZ.
