Reasons to Visit Crystal Palace with Pooh Characters at Disney World

C-Acre Forest lovable characters, bright and beautiful setting, yummy food, delicious service – does this sound great to you? If so, you should schedule a meal at the Crystal Palace on your next trip to Disney World. We ate there last week, and we loved the experience here for a few reasons.

1. CHARACTER Who doesn’t love Pooh and his friends? They are gentle and not too chatty (in fact they don’t talk at all). While we were waiting outside, the children were ecstatic at the sight of the pig walking inside the dining room. At our party, Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore each approached our table separately, hugging the babies, signing autographs and posing for pictures. At one point during the party, they led a parade of children through the restaurant, encouraging the kids to lift the green cloak as they set out to create the 100 Acre Woods. Some of the characters stopped by our table more than once, never seeming to rush.

2. Fodder This is usually why I visit a restaurant, but since the Pooh characters were the kids’ favorites (okay, and mine too!), that was my main reason for choosing to eat here. I’ll admit upfront that I’m not a “coffe snob” – I love quantity and a good quality home, so coffes are my favorites. This one has been whipped up, and it doesn’t disappoint. My three kids, my husband and my father were all very picky, and we left everyone completely stuffed. There is a great variety of vegetables – typical lettuce and more unique (edamame salad, vegetable curry). The main selections are also plentiful and have enough variety to please both my ‘meat n potatoes’ dad and my bolder husband. All the dishes are designed which I found very useful. The girls thoroughly enjoyed a large jar labeled “Ratatouille” because of the recent Disney film of that name. It was very small-children’s bar “Pu Corner” (just chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, and green beans) to picky eaters to watch out for, if the more exotic foods are too scary. Perhaps the best of all was at the bar table, with banana pudding, double chocolate brownies, lemons, strawberries, and even soft serve for kids As we waited to be seated in the lobby, a cast member told us that the food was excellent, and that many guests visit here because of the exceptional food. I can understand this!

3. PLACEMENT. Crystal-palace A wrought iron and glass model of the Crystal Palace was built in London for the Great Exhibition of the 1800s. . I think its ambiance is absolutely amazing – very light inside with so many windows and glass atriums. Lighted at night, he dies as well. The front porch is a relaxing place to wait for your seats, and I’ve heard it’s an excellent venue for watching the nightly parades in the castle as well. Disney’s Crystal Palace is just on the main street of the World, so access is easy.

4. MILITIA. The Disney Magic was in evidence throughout our visit. Our waiter was professional and thorough, introducing himself to us with a nice British accent. Cast members were seen throughout our meal, making sure that the characters made it to each table and that no one was left out. Our drinks are filled early, our plates are quickly settled, and they are left unlocked in a timely manner. We were treated well!

My tip for those who want to enjoy their Crystal Palace meal is to make reservations. Go to the Disney website: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/dining/diningDetail?id=TheCrystalPalaceDiningPage and call the number, up to 180 before your visit. We visited at a later time of year, but the park is often much busier and you won’t be able to get in without a reservation. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reserved time.

breakfast, lunch, dinner – all with Pu characters. All meals are buffet style, with prices increasing throughout the day. Use your magical experience!
