Recipe for Filipino Style Spaghetti

Spaghetti was brought to the Philippines by the Spanish. In Spanish-style spaghetti, you get tomatoes with the pasta, but Filipinos cook it differently by adding it to hot dogs instead of ground pork. Breakfast is a favorite of many Filipino children and they are always included in birthday . Filipinos also prepare this on special occasions such as anniversaries, Christmas Eve and New Eve.

Here are the things you should have and how to prepare them before cooking.

hot dogs cut into pieces
7 cloves of garlic, cut into 4 pieces
3 onions cut into pieces
14 oz of ketchup
3 liters of water to cook the pasta
tsp salt for cooking pasta
oil for boiling pasta

1. First you want to boil 3 liters of water in a large pot.
2. When you have done that, put in ½ tsp salt and ½ oil in boiled water. This is how the pasta doesn’t stick together.
3. Put 2 pounds of pasta in
water with salt and cooked oil.
4. Turn it to a low setting and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring everything constantly.
5. Drain the pasta and run water through it. Put it aside.
6. Next, take the pans and contest”>chop the hot dogs, and then set them aside.
7. In another separate pan, heating-oil”>heat 1 tbsp olive for a short time.
8. Then add the 7 cloves of garlic that have been chopped in the oil pan. Saute the garlic until it becomes golden in color.
9. Then add the chopped onions to the pan. saute onion with oil and garlic for two minutes.
10. Add a pound of pork to the same pan. Saute the ground pork with oil, garlic and onion for two minutes.
11. After you have finished everything, put in ½ cup
water and leave to soften for 10 minutes and cook the ground pork.
13. After 10 minutes, add to that mixture, 24 oz tomato-sauce, 14 oz kerchup; ½ tsp black pepper, 2/3 tsp salt, 3 tbsp sugar and a fried hot dog. Bring everything to a boil and then it will be ready to serve. You can add more sugar depending on how sweet you want to add to your spaghetti sauce.
14. Put the sauce on the pasta and you’re done!
