Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Stadium Arcadium Tour: Best Concert of 2007

The best concert that I went to this year was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Stadium Arcadium Tour sold out concert in Tampa, Florida. The Red Hot Chili Peppers played to a full house at the St. Pete Times Forum on January 28, 2007. I got my ticket through Ticketmaster for $58.25, and it was worth every cent!

The crowd was very excited and anxious to see the Peppers. The doors opened at 6:30 and the concert started at around 7:30 pm. The venue was great. It was large, clean, and had plenty of amenities. There were many vendors present and were two restaurants in the venue.

I had a great view of the stage from my floor level, center stage seat on the 11th row. Although I was not crazy about their opening act, Gnarls Barkley, I made it through their performance without becoming too bored, and they actually had a couple of songs that I really got into. Of course it didn’t matter to me who the opening act was; I was way too pumped about hearing the Chili Peppers to be disappointed. As the chili Peppers took the stage, you could feel and hear the excitement of their fans. The crowd stayed on their feet from the time the Red Hot Chili Peppers came out until the bittersweet end.

From the very first note, the Chili Peppers rocked the crowd. They played for two and a half hours of pure rock and roll bliss. The Chili Peppers never slowed down as they played all of the highly anticipated, mostly unreleased hits from the new album. Along with all the new stuff that everyone was dying to hear, the Red Hot Chili Peppers played some of their fans’ favorites from previous albums. The Peppers rocked “Californication” and many other songs from their brilliant musical history. The lights were crazy and the sets were nothing short of spectacular. Anthony Kiedis’ vocals were awesome and everyone else did a banging job! The Red Hot Chili Peppers had so much energy; they danced like crazy, thrashed their instruments around, and their infectious energy ran through the crowd like a pandemic virus!

I loved this concert. It was by far the best concert of 2007, and quite possibly the greatest performance that I have ever seen. I only saw three other concerts this year: The Sweet Escape Tour, My Chemical Romance, and Daughtry. None of these concerts could even come close to the Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium ArcadiumTour.
