In 1985 I was singled out by the Russian team of Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov when they competed in my hometown of Colorado Springs. I was 12 years old at the time, but I successfully pursued a super pairs skating career. After seeing Sergei Grinkov on his way home in November 1995, I observed Ekaterina’s routines for many years. However, when you have been a witness of perfection, it is difficult to devote yourself to the things that follow; G&G; He and Sergei Grinkov were magical to me, a royal man and a skater.
At one time I had a site dedicated to the memory of Sergei Grinkov and the following opinions were submitted to his site.
When we are divided, each of us feels the failure of the other half. We are incomplete like a book with two volumes, the first of which has been lost. This is what I imagine love to be: incomplete in its absence.
– Goncourt
Sergius was very eloquent in his interviews. She was so composed, intelligent and professional. He does better in interviews than Katia does, even though she was a spokesperson for cohabitation.
– Jenn
It remains that Sergei Grinkov did not live many years. He was sure of everything else.
– Beth Ann
How Sergius knew how to dress himself! I think the part that Sandra Bezic did was to describe him as “choosing” and that he was a man.
– Cathryn
Wasn’t Sergei so warm and loving in the interviews? In this way, the developer It was not surprising, because he was known for his gentleness and fervor in everyday life.

I remind myself what I believe about life after death. To be happy, pure happiness. I remind Sergius that I am happy, not Ilia, not Katia. The only ones in the land who were truly lost were Daria, his daughter, and Natalia Grinkova, his sister. Sergius got everything! He did his duty as a man, and set a great example of manly kindness and meekness. He deserves exaltation in the heavens, because he came from Russia in the age of his religious training, having exalted life, and turned himself into a beautiful man. I don’t believe that Ilia Kulik or Katia Gordeeva will ever have the same effect as humans, even when combined. Many fans praise and love Katya for her perceived beauty, charm and strength, but often leave Sergius out of the picture or focus on his tragic death as a means to make her stronger. Sadly, he didn’t really deserve it, and now Katia hardly even talks about it. To speak well of Sergei to his new husband is not betrayal.

Can you imagine having the right to live with Sergio? Sometimes you wonder what’s behind that smile. I’m sure things weren’t always perfect for him, but he always smiled. Sergei Grinkov was a true thinker and a happy soul; he knew what was going on about him without telling him. he was wise beyond his years.

I love watching Sergei skate solo. It was amazing and so gorgeous. I wish we could have seen more of him!
– Kerry
Sergei Grinkov was interested in politics and read many books. He also had a certain code of Life. It wasn’t like skaters who were only interested in skating. He was spacious in life and very learned;

You must see the hand of Sergei Grinkov! She pulled off her signature look and it was gorgeous!

Let them perish, that man has the BEST lips! Forgive me if you say so.

As Scott Hamilton said, Sergei Grinkov “was larger than life”. I think of Sergius and what he has lost. It just breaks my heart to know that he will never be able to see Daria grow up. All this, in my opinion, is so unfair that Sergius is not here and another man takes so easily what he lost so tragically.
– Eve
Sergius loved his family life and could not even live to raise his girl! I remember someone saying that even baby Daria put both hands around Sergius’s neck as if she didn’t want to lose him. Since Sergius already held her so tightly, she held him even tighter. I was running through the old tapes when I noticed how different Sergius was in some of the introductions to the shows. Everyone laughed, of course, but Sergei Grinkov laughed, really laughed, and looked so friendly.

I think from what Sergius said in one interview, “necessary emotions” were the most important thing in a relationship. I think Katia Gordeeva took great care. I loved my way. We should all be so happy.
– Shelly
Sergei my thing was his usual attitude. He lived while the world watched fairy. More than once in this life of hers and Katia could be seen as vicious. God rest his soul.
– Nikki
He also said that Ekaterina’s grandmother was crazy about him and loved him. That’s football is the right test! He was very charming and loved by all ages. Katia was so lucky to have him in her life.
– Kathy
Sergei was so gentle and loved Katia so much. you can see it in his eyes and his smile can light up a room. Sergius I thought splendid; he was such a handsome man and such a strong body. He had such grace and presented it so well to Katia. One fan to Sergio as a board and Katia, a picture – so true! Sergei’s memory will always be alive.
I went to visit Sergei Grinkov. I bought two flowers, one from everyone in the group and one from me. I could see a picture of Sergius walking nearby. I started to choke and then I was there. I couldn’t believe it at first, but then it hit me and I knew I was really standing in front of a man I had admired for so many years. She was so calm and peaceful. I didn’t want to go. I stood there for what seemed like hours. I slowly placed the flowers to the right of the crystal and said some words. Then I would leave.

I was looking at G&G; Skate, I could not take my eyes off the gorgeous face of Sergei. Another thing that attracted me to Sergei was that he was so sweet and romantic (for example, Katia leaning on his shoulders in the plane when they were not together as a couple yet, holding Katia’s hand in the movies sneaking out of the house & driving the car as the stuff that I needed to make breakfast in bed for Katia on her birthday, and I could go and day. He was a husband, a father, and a friend. How can you not love him?
Moreover, they liked the character of Sergius. I read somewhere (I believe in the newspaper) where someone had said that they wanted to get Sergei Grinkov’s autograph, but they were hesitant because Sergei was having dinner at the time. But Sergei, seeing that he missed his autograph, put down the food and successfully signed his autograph.
– Jennifer
Sergius had talents that most people do not have. He was down to earth, kind, respectful and humble. He could be just as much of a “star” as Katia, but he doesn’t automatically take the spotlight and the praise. I really saw Sergei for the first time in 1988. Katya had all this attention and you can see Sergei in the background quietly going about his business. He was always so humble, composed, and so contemptuous of others.
– Summer
Sergius gave enough love to last his life.
– Donna
Sergei Grinkov was a complete stranger to me and yet he touched my heart. Oh yes, it was incredibly beautiful. But I often find handsome men arrogant and boring. No, it wasn’t Sergei’s form that caught me. What, please, was it about Sergiy Grinkov that made such a lasting impression on me? Speaking for myself, the answer is clear. It was Sergio’s character that made me such a fan.
– Kathy M
Sergius I admire all persons of man, respect them, and desire to be like them. His positive attitude about life, his joy in everyday events, his compassion and humanity, his modesty about his actions touched his life. He sounded like a character in a novel: strong, handsome, gentle, tenacious and clever. When I found out that he loved to read, and took books to heart, I felt well. I was a real fan of the man, and skating took off from that point. He was the greatest male pair skater of all time in my opinion, but I fear what the man should be even more. To this day I still think about him and try to use his short life as an example.
– Kathy B
I loved his kindness, maturity and wisdom. All this appears in Katia’s book, but I also think to see how his friends were affected by his death, to see what a man he was. I look at his pictures and see the compassion just flowing from his eyes.
– Gia
What I remember most about Sergius was the way he looked. He was extraordinarily warm, but also kind in appearance. I, too, was just as beautiful as Katia.
– Tatiana
I always remember how great and strong, yet pious and gentle Sergius was. Katia looked at the road, held the road with her hand, especially with a smile. The kind of joy that Sergei and Katia brought to the ice and the kind of love they shared with each other is something that can never be forgotten or duplicated.
– I read
The first time I saw G & G; to the 1988 Olympics Seeing them do it was what interested me in watching figure skating, and I watched it regularly after that. After the death of Sergio, my interest in skating declined. I must admit, however, that I did not save Katia’s solo career. Part of it is that he’s never been a hateful fan of skaters; I always preferred watching pairs. And part of it was just that. Without Sergei, Katia’s skating just didn’t make as much sense to me and I don’t find the same joy in watching her solo performances.
I love going and watching G&G; at the same time … they took love and joy when they saw it. This is what I will always remember about them. Sergius was an excellent athlete and man; for it would be shameful if he were forgotten or not remembered by those whose lives he touched.
