In many cases it is easier to find a suitable house or duplex than an apartment unit where you live above and below your neighbors and the noise disturbs you at all hours of the day and night. Especially for families, single family homes in Houston, Texas offer certain amenities in the apartments.
If you’re thinking about selling a home in Houston, Texas, the best place to start is with the Houston Association of Realtors’ Web site. You can search for single-family homes in specific areas of the city on the MLS, including surrounding communities such as Sylvester, Galveston, Katy and Cypress. You will find thousands of single family houses for rent.
But it is to be regretted if there is any confusion about the difference. You can split as many individual homes in Houston, Texas, but with separate attributes that are different from each other. You can find one house with hardwood flooring and a Jacuzzi bathroom, but it will have electric energy and a small yard to make it convenient. Houston is the best place to look.
Neighbourhood
A single family home in Houston is only as attractive as the neighborhood in which it sits. There are more than a few neighborhoods that I would avoid altogether, and others that I would avoid given the choice. A fourth and fifth stop in downtown Houston—especially around the University of Houston—definitely makes the list. I also want to stay away from Cloverleaf west of the belt, Aldine and Jacinto north city downtown, and Galena Park.

Of course, it is also a good idea to avoid the most affluent areas of Houston, such as Katy, Memorial, River Oaks and South Forest. You’ll pay a lot more for the area, but without any of the added amenities. And since you won’t be building equity with monthly payments of $3,000, the cost isn’t worth it.
Amenities
If you know where to look for individual homes in Houston, Texas, you will be able to find properties at a reasonable price. For example, a friend of mine just rented a four-bedroom, two-story house in Cypress for under $100 a month. The house comes with a covered patio, a washer and dryer, tile throughout the house, a Jacuzzi bath and stone countertops.
When renting a single-family home in Houston, Texas, it’s best to deal with land. Contact several Realtors who work exclusively with renters to find out where the best deals are. In addition, you’ll find that renovated homes built before the 1970s often offer the best prices.
Price
According to HAR.com, a rental property in Houston, Texas costs about $865, but this includes apartments and other multi-family dwellings. If you’re only looking for single-family homes, you’re probably looking at a minimum of $900 per month for a middle-class home in a nice neighborhood. The price goes up from there, with the middle part being about $1,000.
