Restaurant Review: Capt. Jack’s Family Buffet in Panama City Beach, Florida – All You Can Eat Seafood Buffet

On a recent vacation to Panama City Beach, we decided to go for a buffet dinner. To our surprise, there aren’t many shots to choose from in Panama City. We have established in Capt. The Jack Buffet family.

Jack’s claims to be the newest and best buffet in Panama. Local restaurant owned by Jack Bishop. They claim to have the number one crabs that are included with every buffet lunch.

During our visit, the restaurant was busy; it was spring . and we thought we could do better in any Asian buffet. Plaga Acetaria was the best offering and very little in my opinion I couldn’t find anything that stood out enough to want to go back and try again.

Capt Jack’s offers three different slaps; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast Plaga is served from 3:30 until closing and adults eat 23.95 while children children eat three children. Lunch is served from 11 to 2pm and adults eat for 9.95, while children under three eat. Lunch is available from 8 to 10:30 and costs 8.95 for adults and again, children under three eat.

Capt. Jack says that the best dinner seafood-buffet is on the beach, and perhaps since there are so few buffet offerings on the net. We will definitely return to Beach Panama but Jack is caught. In our opinion, it was expensive for the food, which was below par in quality. While there is a quantity option, it wasn’t enough for us to taste the food enough to partake in any real quantity of food.

This reviewer’s opinion is only given for the seafood buffet dinner. While other buffets are worth trying, my opinion is that if the food is similar to the dinner offerings minus the crab legs, a repeat visit is not worth the time or money. If you want to give the buffet a try yourself, they are located at 8208 Thomas Dr., Panama City Beach, Florida and can be reached by phone at: (850) 236-8555.
