Review: Amy’s Cheddar Organic Burritos

I eat cocoa and burritos seemingly forever. However, I have tried to do better by watching what I eat. So I thought I’d try organic burritos instead. The organic friendly burritos, available for around $2.50, offer a healthier alternative to the usual burritos in the local grocery store’s frozen aisle. Amy’s burritos come in a variety of flavors. I decided to try the organic cheddar cheese burrito and see how well it tasted.

Preparing Amy’s Organic Burritos

Double heat these organic burritos: in either the microwave or in a conventional oven.

Microwave Oven

Remove it from its plastic package, wrap the burrito inside in a paper towel. Place the burrito in your oven for about 1-1/2 minutes on high. After this cooking time, flip over the burrito and cook for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, making sure the burrito is fully hot before eating it.

Convention Oven

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees; Meanwhile, wrap the burrito in tin foil. Once in the preheated oven, place the burrito in the oven and cook for 50 to 55 minutes.

Friends Organic Burritos Taste Great!

I have to say, I was hoping for a tour so I wouldn’t be disappointed. I can buy a Patio or Jose Ole burrito for about 75 cents. Obviously, I’m paying for the organic ingredients in Amy’s organic burritos, but still, I was hoping that it would taste decent too.

Have I ever been impressed! The flavor in Amy’s organic cheddar burrito is something I’ve had for frozen burritos before.

At first, I was shocked by the lack of fat on the plate. I actually saw this as a “world” burrito. Unlike other frozen burritos I usually eat, this one doesn’t even taste processed.

One big difference between this organic Amy’s burritos over other burritos I’ve eaten is that these features a whole wheat tortilla Is there cheddar cheese in this? Real cheese – both cheddar and Monterey Jack. In this burrito there is organic brown rice and a multitude of organic and spices to round out the flavor.

Nutritional Value

Overall, you came out a winner by choosing Amy’s organic burritos over the typical, run of the mill frozen burritos that thrive in the grocery store’s frozen aisle. The only area where Amy’s burritos compare to others is in sodium. There are 580 milligrams of sodium in an Amy’s organic cheddar burrito; I’ve seen similar sodium numbers in other concrete burritos.

But where else can you find a whopping 7 P. dietary fiber burrito? I was amazed that I ate 28 percent of my recommended daily requirement of dietary fiber in just one of these cheddar burritos from Amy’s.

Amy touts that her burritos contain no bioengineered ingredients. While I don’t often eat consider how much I tend to have bioengineered ingredients, I am. Happy Amy’s organic burritos contain no… take care to avoid bioengineered products in the future.
