Bar Louie is typically dead during the day. Old-timers and University of Chicago students can attend the rental and seating areas in the early afternoon. Bar Louie at 6 p.m. it becomes more lively when weekend professionals start pouring into the area after work, regardless of age.

The most fearful of the old will go out during the night – leaving the young teachers in painted, white tee shirts attached to the surrounding areas. The students of the University of Chicago have long since disappeared by this time. Even the library remains!

The crowd is typically good-looking and luxuriant by Chicago standards. When the staff of the northern side is ambushed by a staff of blue-eyed blondes and equipped with a bicep, we must intimate that wearing a large back is undoubtedly the demand of all the women who have used to work at this Hyde Park Bar Louie.

Bar Louie – Hyde Park, Chicago Recommendation

The food is average, the drinks are average, the staff is average, the music is absolutely terrible.

Bar Louie will succeed with minimal effort due to the largely non-existent availability of late-night options on the South Side of Chicago from South Beach to Roosevelt Avenue.

Food and drink prices are reasonable – but it’s still food.

Bar Louie appears in music from a very extensive list of flute plays. Music reading makes absolutely no sense to the largely African American clientele. Frankly, I’m in no mood to handle the raucous 1980’s Bruce Springsteen rock and roll music.

Bar Louie is a good spot to meet people, take casual moments, and unwind before or after the main event. Savvy guests will take full advantage of this prime location that is within a short walking distance of the Chicago Lakefront.

Couples plan to arrive in the early evening hours to get a chance to get a seat. Bar Louie can be standing room only late at night and unsuccessfully walking to a table is simply tasteless and destroys the mood. Also, possessive boyfriends and girlfriends will not be happy watching their beans run the gauntlet of aggressive prospectors looking to spit out the game.

Singles looking to blend in should be prepared for a duel with married couples dying to be part of the action, fake ballers, stuck-up women to avoid at all costs, and pity-raised women vomiting “Black men are the worst dogs” poison.

However, there are always very few gems that patronize this institution.
