Review: Dentemp O.S. Temporary Tooth Filling

A few weeks ago, I had a very unpleasant experience of a dental filling that was placed on my wisdom tooth while I was eating. I knew as soon as he had fallen, because at once a pain shot through my face and through my head. Come at all. I immediately went to the pharmacist and bought some Anbesol gel, which certainly numbs the pain as soon as I apply it. The problem with Anbesol (and other oral numbing agents like it) is that it doesn’t actually do anything to solve the problem; but it clearly numbs the pain, and unfortunately wears off quickly as it is often repeated.

I knew that it would take me two weeks to save enough money to get to the dentist, and ” “fix” needed to be more stable because of my lost filling in the meantime. I called back to the pharmacy and looked closer to the Oral Care aisle. On this second trip to the pharmacy we found a product called “Dentemp O.S. Temporary Tooth Filling”. The package contained a small bowl of putty and a white “cup” and stated that I could use the putty to create a the time of satiety is so strong that I eat in it. It also promises immediate pain relief. At $4.59, I was quite skeptical about these claims, but I was desperate to ease my tooth pain so I decided to go ahead and buy

The directions are somewhat direct. After washing my mouth with water to loosen some of the particles, I thought I would take a small amount of the putty material from the bowl with a white spatula and roll it into a ball. Then I just press the putty with my fingers into the hole created by the lost filling, remove the excess material, then water my mouth again to “prepare” the temporary filling. Easy enough.

When I took the putty in my hands, it reminded me very much of the material “sediments” used in elementary schools. things to hang on the wall. When Dentemp O.S. material in my mouth, I was amazed at how easy it was to completely fill the hole in my tooth and remove the excessive material with just the pressure of my fingers. After a few moments of working with the Dentemp material, the temporary filling was in place and the tooth was once again smooth, with a closed surface instead of a gaping hole. What was even more remarkable was that as soon as Dentemp was in place my pain tooth pain immediately subsided. I am very impressed.

I waited several hours before trying to eat anything, but when I finished, Dentemp stayed in place for the filling time just like the package said it would. The temporary filling also included repeated wipes, which I found particularly impressive. My Dentemp filling didn’t really start to chip until about a week after I put it in place, which is easily remedied by putting a small amount of material over the chip. The one cup I bought said it had enough Dentemp material to replace 10 lost fillings, but based on the amount I used, I think it could actually replace many, many more… you need such a small amount, it’s almost unbelievable.

With the help of Dentemp O.S. When filling a tooth, I could wait 3 weeks to see the dentist when I lost the filling with relatively little discomfort. It’s still hard to believe how such an inexpensive, slightly bent product, I almost saw, could work so well. If you’ve lost your appetite and need to buy yourself some time to get to the dentist, I highly recommend this product from Dentemp. For less than five dollars, I promise it will be one of the best purchases you will ever make.
