Review – Hawaiian Falls WaterPark – Texas

A triple digit Texas storm has found Texans scrambling for relief and one place to turn to is Hawaii Falls Waterpark located in North Garland, Colony or Mansfield Texas. If you’re planning to go to this waterpark, you might want to consider the height of your children and read this review to see if it’s worth the trip and the cost.

While our trip to Hawaiian Falls was to one location on North Garland off of Garland Rd.TX, it seems likely that the other two locations would be the same in quality, but the scenery and attractions would differ depending on the location. a little

The cost of the tickets seemed expensive at $19.99 per person over 48 inches and $13.99 for persons under 48 inches, but half the cost was my favorite , Schlitterbahn. Adult tickets to Schlitterbahn cost $37.99. I was expecting to pay half price for a fun book and I was right. However, located in the vicinity of DFW, Hawaiian Falls is only a 30 minute drive compared to 5 – 7 to Schlitterbaun in Galveston.

So what do you expect from Hawaiian Falls WaterPark? If you bring in a cooler that is larger than 12x12x12 you can expect to pay $10.00 to get it through the door. Yours will also be cooler to store alcoholic beverages (absolutely not allowed), knives and any other illegal substances. If you need a container, you risk $8.00.

When you enter the park, if you have children under 42, you will be limited to the Kona Kooler, Keiki Kove and wave falls and the express event at this particular waterpark. (The rest of the aquatics have different names for their rides). But we drove to the Kona Kooler for hours because it was a blast.

Kona Kooler is a continuous stream that scoots you with an artificial current. Large inner tubes are provided, although when packed, if you want a tube, you have to wait for one to be removed. The children are seen rather swimming, while the adults frolic in the huge tube. This was very relaxing and derisive.

Keiki Kove also has an adventure for younger children with a rain-water castle with slides, rope ladders, buckets of water, geysers, three 40-foot slides and a 1,000-gallon dumping bucket. This reminded me of McDonalds Playland in the water.

The wave pool is a large pool area with big, strong waves that get stronger the deeper you go. That’s about 5 ft tall. He also provided the interior of the tubule. This was a lot of fun when we first arrived, however immediately the crowds arrived and the pool was too crowded to really enjoy the waves.

Pineapple Express is a water feature for children atleast 42 inches tall.

In adults, there are a few great slides that delight and dare the devil.

One of the main places to eat is called Pineapple Island Pete Café. This food restaurant has everything from pizza and cold drinks to hot dogs and nachos. There is also a cone seller in the sno park.

Because I have a boy barely 42 inches tall, so he couldn’t ride the big ones and we were limited to the wave pool, the river and Keiki Kove, the river and one slide. Although we originally planned to stay all day, we only stayed 4 hours all day repeated in the same places. But the picnic areas are wonderful and shady so we had a delightful summer lunch and really enjoyed the time we were there. If we decided to go further or to be tied up, I see that we could easily block the place. However, with a huge group and our tickets being only $10.00, it seemed like enough time there and worth it. If we paid the price… I think we would have stretched out the whole day. But all in all 4 hours were for us for the big day.

I hope and probably go back but only with discounted tickets. The cost of $19.99 per ticket per big person and $13.99 per small person is simply hefty for me and especially since we were so contracted in riding with a child under 42 inches.
