Review of Books Sold at Dollar Stores – Part 1

I am an avid reader and love many kinds of books. I can’t even begin to tell you how many books I’ve read in my life, but it’s been a lot. Recently on a trip to our local Dollar General, I noticed that they had a box of half price books at $1.00

Now, for anyone who enjoys reading, we all know that a $1.00 book is enough to find. The price of books seems to rise almost every year. Even if I buy paperback-book, the prices are still close to $0.00. For me, who can read through a book in one day (if it’s really good), paying one penny for a book was enough to make me wander.

So through the books that Dollar General had, I didn’t recognize a lot of the authors. That did not stop me, because it was not to be passed. Who knows, because these cheap books were not good. I selected the books from the shelf, telling myself that if they had turned them well, I would certainly have brought back more. one book was called Immortal Blood, by James M. Thompson, and the other Tat Me Twice, by Barbara Dawson Smith.

This article, Part 1, will be devoted to reviewing Immortal Blood when I first decided to read the book. Published by Libri Pinnaculi in 2003, Immortal Blood is as you believe, a book about vampires. The cover doesn’t do the book justice when it’s just a poorly painted picture of a vampire’s face. But I was led to read this in passing.

Immediately, James M. Thompson grabs the attention of readers with a wicked prologue, full of action and wit. Let me tell you now, if you don’t like reading about gruesome details or vampires, this is not the book for you. The book centers around the main character, Elias Pike, a vampire who finds a cure for vampires in search of a deadly urge to crave human blood.

In this quest, Elias and his friends will fight with the deadly Michael Morpheus to eliminate him from them, and all hope they and their supporters have a remedy.

Mr. Thompson introduces him to a world where good vampires work to save mortals from other vampires out to destroy them. There is an amazing amount of action in this 314 page book. There is also plenty of romance and murder, and with all of these working together, I was amazed at how entertaining and insightful this book became as I read it.

All I have to say is that I will be going to more $1.00 books at our Dollar General. Of course I’ll find bad things in the package, who knows? But after reading Blood Immortals I’m happy to see the dollar risk I can find other exciting stories!
