Over the years, I’ve seen Burt’s Bees products pop up everywhere. I’ve also seen it available in major national chains like Bath & Body Works and Walmars. I am very happy that my favorite health and beauty products are now widely available in most of the United States.
Burt Bees The company was started by a bee keeper named Burt and his buddy Roxanne in Maine. From the pictures I’ve seen of Burt, he probably sizes him up as an old hippie, but regardless of the type of talent he makes sure to make good products. The company thrives on “natural”. They use as many natural ingredients as possible. For many of them products are 100% natural or close. They also use environmentally friendly soil that produces as little waste as possible.
I absolutely swear by their Super Crus Grapefruit & Sugar Beet Shampoo. It is 98.20% natural. It has citrus extracts to lighten and beet sugar extract to repair hair damage.
They have two great flavors of adult toothpaste that are 100% natural: Cinna Mint and Laveder Mint. They also have a kids toothpaste that tastes really fruity and with orange oil flavor. I really like the idea of using natural toothpaste especially for kids considering that most toothpaste labels warn consumers not to swallow it for fear of poison!
Another useful product that I get a lot of use from is their insect repellent, 100% natural-insect-repellent a>. This works just as well as the chemical brands and smells good. Plus, without any DEET, you don’t have to worry about killing your children.
My favorite part of their product line hands down is their Baby Bee line. Babies have particularly sensitive skin so these natural products are ideal when trying to avoid irritation. My favorite of the line is their peach baby oil which just smells delicious compared to most baby perfumes I’ve bought. For each birth of my relatives and friends, I buy their Baby Bee Starter Kit which is sampling. of all the wonderful baby products. They are sure to love them in the Burt’s Bees line.
