Review of Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn Ultimate Butter

Usually, I buy generic popcorn for snacking at the movies or watching television. I’m not beyond generic foods to save a buck or two at the grocery store. Another family bought the Orville Redenbacher brand of popcorn, and my daughter was curious why she did it. She convinced me to do this taste test experiment as part of her science class.

Price

I’m all about saving money. We usually pay $3 for 15 bags of regular microwave-popcorn, so I’m not worried about the $2.56 price tag for six bags of Orville Redenbacher Popper Corn The price was too high for me. Plus, I doubted it. Once upon a time, we liked it just fine.

When we consider more services at this price, the cost seems much more bearable. Especially looking at the cost of popcorn at a carnival or movie theater, the price of Orville looks like a dream.

Taste

Our family of six tried our regular Orville Redenbacher Ultimate Butter variety of popcorn. In order not to deviate the experiment from our preconceived notions, only one person in the house knew which popcorn was our regular variety and which one was Orville Redenbacher popcorn. Four of the six of us preferred the flavor of Redenbacher’s brand of popcorn over our brand. I loved the great taste of the butter, but I noticed the aftertaste in my mouth after the meal. That’s why I had to go back to check that brand again.

Size

Orville Redenbacher’s brand of popcorn popped light and fluffy. There wasn’t a big difference in volume between the two

He had eaten popcorn.

Unpopped Kernels

When we compared the usual brand of popcorn to Orville Redenbacher’s Ultimate Butter variety, we noticed a big difference in the unpopped kernels. The Orville Redenbacher popcorn maker bought a few unpopped kernels with our banner. Another brand also had lots of popcorn kernels that fit between your teeth. This was not a question at all about Orville Redenbacher’s Ultimate Butter Popcorn.

Overall, I would like to give Orville Redenbacher’s Ultimate Buttermilk Popcorn a rating of four stars. Despite the unpleasant aftertaste, the butter flavor was better than our variety of popcorn. The cost was reasonable considering the high quality popcorn found inside. Less loaded kernels and a few popcorn hulls have given me more definition when choosing microwave popcorn for my family. In my family, 2/3 of the people prefer the Orville Redenbacher popcorn competition.
