The CZ 75 pistol is now over 30 years old. This one would indicate something about the timeless design. While new guns come and go, the CZ 75 continues to follow suit. The pistol comes from the Czech Republic and can be one of consumer products. It’s the Koucky Brothers award.
The currently used Czech police force is durable enough to withstand a lot of use and abuse. All steel construction reduces recoil when firing a 9mm Parabellum round. It weighs 2.47 pounds and has a barrel length of 4.7 inches. One carries over 15 rounds in the chamber.
Some consider the CZ 75 to be the best 9mm pistol in the world. It was mentioned that if the US military was allowed to search for a new star two decades ago it would have beaten all other competitors. The system of fire is relatively safe and makes good accuracy suitable for the regular shooter. Some people prefer to slip the frame of the safety mount, mounted on models from other manufacturers.
The CZ 75 pistol is supposed to be reliable. It has a relatively tight slide fit for manufacturing, but this does not seem to make the pistol more prone to malfunction. The ergonomics of the gun are better than many other 9mm s grip and fire. This is what I would say point and shoot. The bullet goes where you point. I recommend you get the optional Tritium night sights if you want to use the pistol for serious self defense or professional use.
One bright side of the pistol is that it costs relatively less than other guns of the same class. Compared to a Sig or HK, buying a CZ is a steal. It is one of the most accurate rifles in the range, and some of the best in the range. Just be sure to replace the springs after heavy use.
As with all other guns, some batches are not up to par. Once in a while you will get a lemon from CZ-USA, but this seems to be rare. If you have any issues with yours feel free to contact the developer reps and they can work something out. If you want to buy your CZ 75 used then you want to have a gunsmith tell you before hand what to look for when buying pre-owned guns. Also, pay attention to the safety mechanism and the year of manufacture when choosing a CZ 75. I believe some very old models do not have shot block wedges.
According to CZ-USA, “an entire family of pistols is available based on the CZ 75 design, compacts, decockers, double action only, single action, ambidextrous, combination plates as well as Competition pistols.” Hence, there are many variations of the original pistol design. The CZ 75 B is the best known model. However, if you want a 75 with tactical rails, you may want to look at the SP-CI model. If you want to save money on ammo costs or just have fun knocking they have a Kadet conversion kit that allows send you a cartridge .22 lr.
I think the CZ 75 would make a good choice for personal or professional/law enforcement work. But don’t take my word for it. Ask others about the pistol. Try one from your side and fire through at least one hundred rounds. See if the weight is right for you if you carry a personal destination. Make a simple field strike if the weapon allows you to do so. Know the pistol. If anything else it is very beautiful to look at. Overall, the CZ 75 is a fantastic pistol that will see many years of use.
