Review of the Putnam Hotel in Deland, FL

I recently stayed at the historic Putnam Hotel at 225 W. New York Avenue in Deland, Florida, and these are the reviews of the hotel that some say is haunted. My group rented each part of three apartments located in rooms 313, 314 and 412 for our one-night stay.

The inspection leaves much to be desired in the space and decoration of both room, but the price of $80 a. The cost per night for a suite/apartment room was reasonable. When I first entered the hotel, I could tell by the musty smell that it had some age to it, and much to my dismay the smell increased as we went to the upper floors and was worse in the area. A few rooms on each floor we were on notice that the doors of the rooms were sprinkled with bugs and should not be opened, but to my dismay one of the rooms was spread out. . When asked, the hotel manager said that the rooms were fine, but it seemed a little strange to me.

If you have a fear of elevators, you should avoid the elevator at the Putnam Hotel; it won’t go to the third floor, the door is stuck and won’t go anywhere unless you help it by pushing it closed and when you get to pleading open. I used the stairs sometimes, I changed the floors except one time just to see what it was like. Each apartment had a spacious room, but the furniture was lacking and seemed to me bare; no pictures in the rooms, 70s style clothes and a mustache make each room look more like a hospital room than a hotel. You’ve helped make dark and sad mistakes come to life. My drummer and his beautiful lady chose a room on the fourth floor only because the privacy was raised on a platform in the bathroom and she wanted to feel “like a king on his throne.”

Only one of the windows in my room was open, but the ceiling fan above the bed was a window air unit. Conditioner above the bed in the living room kitchen. When I tried to call for pizza I noticed that the phone in the room was not working – I had a good my cell. telephone. I also recommend that you bring your own towels because the hotel doesn’t provide a lot of towels, in fact I had to use the sink because my towel wasn’t good enough to dry.

The curtains in my living room must be for decoration that prevent any sunlight from entering. way to my eyes The room was quite warm in the morning and the fan above the bed didn’t seem to make much of a difference. I was awakened in the morning around three o’clock in the morning by the screeching sound of a cow cleaner that sounded like it was in the hallway outside my door as it sat there. As soon as I got up back to sleep I was woken up again by people from the rooms next to the door using the power saw.

In the end, he just went back to the hotel to try to get some tighter pictures on film. The Putnam Hotel is a good place to go if you’re into history or shadows and haunted places, but if you’re looking for a good night’s sleep< /a> and this fantastic place is definately not the place to go.
