To always get organic apples, I often buy the cheapest variety, which is usually braeburn apples. The last time I needed to get some apples though I noticed that the gala royal apples were about the same price per pound and so I thought about a change to try some of them instead. The brand of apples that I chose were Viva Tierra Organica Mala Galana Royal.
I must admit that I cannot remember if I had tried such a variety of apples before and did not know what to expect. They weren’t about greenunt so I didn’t think they tasted like apples or granny smith apples. I did not think that the yellow tabernacle would taste like a delicious golden apple. The color of the Viva Tierra Organic Royal Gala Lake was red with yellow highlights similar to apple fudge and so I thought it would be similar to that. I wasn’t that far into thinking, but I have to say they taste better than the fresh Safeway O Organic Fuji Apples I got. They were much sweeter than any braeburn I had tasted so well, and I was very glad to find them at the same price.
The cost of organic seems to vary from grocery store to grocery store and so when the time comes apples I try to make a trip to a grocery store that carries the best price of organic apples. It was observed that the average apples weighed slightly under three-quarters of a pound each. All the apples are very consistent in size and color, which is very consistent in taste. The only things I found about these apples that weren’t perfect were they weren’t grown closer to home, like the Viva Tierra Organic Royal Apples are from a county in Washington state, but from farms in both North. and South America.

Actually, I tend to get my results from the one closest to where I live. I think that fruit that doesn’t have to travel to the top is going to be fresher and less resource-intensive to get to the grocery store where I’m going to buy it, which I think is a great thing. This is why I can’t buy Viva Tierra Organica Royal Gala Mala forever. On the apple sticker they say that Chile is one of the places in the county that has farms and so I wonder if maybe that means that those special apples came from a farm in Chile. I certainly think that as long as the only apples I can afford are these good and organic ones, I will at least get them back some time.
