Review: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner

Im such a huge fan of Revlon ColorStay eyeliner. My usual eyeliner in the Revlon ColorStay family has always been an eyeliner pen. This night, though, when I used to gather, I ran into the empty rack lamenting. He was sold, afraid of the feeling that washed over me. If you’ve ever used a ColorStay Eyeliner Pen, then you must know exactly how it felt. My beloved is gone! Left with no other option, I looked around for something similar.

I hated the CoverGirls selection, and had already tried the latest Maybelline collection, and it wasn’t impressed. I took a closer look at the selection of Revlon liners and this is where I found the package Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner.

Now I used to be a big fan of liquid liner, but I found the prices to be high; and the liquid did not last as long as I thought. Although not really chosen, so I went ahead and bought it.
The liquid eyeliner comes in a standard tube, which is my favorite liquid eyeliner; a small pyramid shaped like a cylindrical tube, with a simple twisted cap.

There’s a ball inside the tube that you hear rattle around when you shake the tube.

When I bought Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner, I only opted for this because I had the exact results with the sister pen. I wanted a long lasting, free liner for my lids. Nothing more, nothing less.

The application tip for applying liquid eyeliner on your eyelids is a nice pointed tip allowing for easy application. Like I said, I was hesitant because I always felt like I had more control with the eyeliner pen, but I have to say that Revlon’s ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner really gave me control over the application to the tip of my sensitive ear and just the perfect liquid formula.

I personally like to add a thick line to my upper lid and a thinner line to my lower lid. It gave me the ultimate sense of a nice, shiny line and allowed me to design the outer liner that made the eye look bigger; and more elegantly.

The last one was as amazing as the ColorStay pen eyeliner which was exactly what I wanted. Liquid eyeliner gave me all day, smudge and smudge proof coverage. I am a happy camper.

Then I ask myself, should I continue to use the liquid eyeliner, or should I go back to the old ColorStay style that I know and love? The answer is simple.

As much as I like the liquid version of the eyeliner, I’m still a fan of the pen. Even though the liquid liner gives me a finer line in the corners of my eye, I still find that the pen slides more easily on my lid. The liquid eyeliner glided on nice and easy, but when I needed to fix it in the areas around the lid that the liner missed, it gave my already dry lids a battered look. The rotten look absorbs and fades as it dries all over the lid, but the rotten texture makes room for mistakes that I haven’t always faced using the ColorStay pen.

Here, though, is every reason. I personally prefer a pen, but if liquid eyeliner is your thing than I highly recommend this one, because the last one is long lived, and the results are relative bad.
