Ron Burgundy Quotes

Ron Burgundy quotes are nonchalantly spoken, hilarious, and unpredictable. “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” is about anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), and his colleagues. The movie is set in the 1970’s when women were not featured as news anchors. The 2004 comedy depicts Ron Burgundy’s world being turned upside down when his station hires a female. You never know what will come out of Ron Burgundy’s mouth, but he always manages to say the most off the wall quotes that keep you laughing throughout the entire movie.

  1. “I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal.” This is one of the most well known and memorable Ron Burgundy quotes. While trying to impress Veronica Corningstone he arrogantly informs her how he is well known. He tells her how people know who he is, which is hilarious because he is on television every weekday morning, so people should know him. Veronica is not impressed and casually responds to Ron Burgundy by saying, “Well, I am very happy for you.”
  2. “You stay classy, San Diego. I’m Ron Burgundy?” In the movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” it is known that Ron Burgundy reads everything the teleprompter says, including mistakes. Someone accidently put a question mark on the end of Burgundy and he said it in question form. The quote, “You stay classy, San Diego” is said throughout the movie because that is what Ron Burgundy always ends his morning news cast saying.
  3. “Brick, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you’re probably wanted for murder.” During the movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” different news stations got in an all out battle, and Brick killed someone with a trident. When the dust settled Ron Burgundy said this quote in a calm manner, as if it was no big deal he killed someone. The entire scene was funny, but this Ron Burgundy quote put it over the top to show how little of a conscious he has.
  4. “Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale’s vagina.” Trying to impress news anchor Veronica Coringstone , Ron Burgundy says this quote about where the city San Diego’s name was derived from. Obviously that is not true at all, and something Ron Burgundy completely made up. When Veronica called him out on making it up, Ron Burgundy then said that no one knows how the name came to be, and the translation has been lost. The truth is, the name comes from Saint Diego, and Veronica knew that fact all along.
  5. “I’m gonna punch you in the ovary, that’s what I’m gonna do. A straight shot. Right to the babymaker .” Another well known and popular Ron Burgundy quote is when he tells Veronica that he will punch her in the babymaker . He is hot tempered, but stays calm and collected at the same time. Ron Burgundy delivered this quote in a nonchalant manner which makes it even funnier.
