Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dance with the Devil: Who Thought the Devil Could Be so Irresistable?

There wasn’t much in life or death that Zarek of Moesia had ever cared about. He was a Dark-Hunter exiled to live in the subzero temperatures of the baron frozen northern state of Alaska. But hey, after serving his entire mortal lifetime as a Roman slave and whipping boy, he could endure the past 900 immortal years in this frozen icebox. But Zarek is tired of enduring. Zarek wants to know the truth about what happened to him the night he was exiled. But how can someone like Zarek find the truth when he doesn’t trust in anyone including himself. Anyone or anything that gets in his ways always ends up being hurt by Zarek.

Every Dark-Hunter claims Zarek is insane and one psychotic son of a bitch. Fearing that Zarek is too dangerous to everyone, forget about Zarek being a danger to himself, what about the humans who the Dark-Hunters are sworn to protect? Along with all of the Dark-Hunters, Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, wanted rid of the eternally damned psycho-ass Dark-Hunter a long time ago. But Acheron, their big boss, isn’t about to strike one of his men dead just because one of them were out of line. Okay, so maybe Zarek was a little more than a tad out of line, he was uncontrollable and in need of a psychiatrist. Acheron wanted to have solid proof that Zarek was dangerous and not able to be changed.

Acheron calls upon Astrid, the Greek Nymph of Justice to spend two weeks with Zarek and observe him to judge him. But is two weeks enough to dig into the depths of this callous, cold hearted and cruel man’s black heart to decide his fate? Zarek’s never believed in the old adage ‘the most damned man can be forgiven. But Astrid strikes a chord in Zarek that makes this wild beast want to be tame and human again. Astrid becomes his shining star reaching out to him in the darkness.
Are love, truth, and bravery enough to save Zarek from being put down into an eternity of shade-dom; a fate worse then death? A place where your thirst is never quenched and your hunger is never fed. A place of pure damnation.

Read Zarek’s story in Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter Novel Dance with the Devil and find out if Zarek of Moesia is really psychotic and if love and truth can save a tortured man’s life.
