Continuing with Sigmund Freud’s theory of three stages of personality development: we reviewed the Id and the Ego, which is the rational mind, and now we come to the superego.

Super ego

The third and most advanced level of personality is called the “super-ego” and this does not really occur until very young or before adulthood in some people. The superego is the conscious ability of our actions, to know right from wrong, and is the stage where morality develops. .

A child cannot know that he is doing something wrong, and only stop doing something wrong because of the threat of punishment. When people reach the superego stage of development, they do not need the threat of punishment to recognize something wrong, their instincts and social conditions remind them.

Basically Freud stated that people grow according to different stages of development , we will ignore the sexual aspect in the end. take a closer look at this discussion and in another article.
